Gaya Simulations

Does anyone know how to contact Gaya Simulations? I have sent several messages to them regarding the misaligned runway centreline markings at LDRI Rijeka International, but I have never received a response.

It wouldn't matter if you'd had. I own their ENCN payware scenery and reported (years ago, via their website) misaligned ground textures. I got an acknowledgement, but to my knowledge no fix ever surfaced. There is one on fs.to adressing these problems, but Gaya didn't care. Considering their treatment of paying customers, I wouldn't expect anything regarding their contractual work for MS. I had a good laugh when I just checked their actual website where their contact form says "We're always keen to hear anything from you. Let's start talking!". 🤣

I have the ENCN Kristiansand scenery, so (bearing in mind my OCD nature when it comes to misalignment of anything) it is probably best if you do not highlight the specific ground textures that you are talking about!!

I hope they will port over the LIRQ Scenery to MSFS 2024, it's still not available.

A good reason never to buy their products.  I don't have any guilt about getting their sceneries from elsewhere when they don't offer support.

LOWW works when I just copied it over. LGKO however has the apron covered in grass in both the MSFS 2024 Stable release and the SU1 beta builds. As Tom_L said, given that they're contracted to do airports in the sim, doesn't seem like they prioritize support or updates for their older sceneries.

They have managed to not even fix the bugs reported on the FS forums for the handcrafted scenery.. So, I have no hopes for them.

I've bought it via marketplace. I've also bought LOWW via MP, that one works for some a reason.

The total lack of communication is very annoying. Misalignment of runway centreline markings is a pet hate of mine. The alignment of runway markings and lighting is the very first thing that I check when I am beta testing UK2000 airports.

Chris, years ago I reported a series of issues with ENCN. Gaya initially asked for more details and I spent some considerable time documenting the problems with evidence and sent it all to them.  Zero contact after that, so you can estimate my probability of buying any payware from them ever again very easily....

That's all so sad what I am reading here, because their LOWW is really good, IMO.

It would not take too much effort for them to at least respond to messages/emails regarding issues.

There are several levels of importance with respect to issues at virtual airports, and I consider runway alignment to be right at the top of the list. Anyone who flies a fixed wing aircraft uses the runways at an airport every time that they visit. It is imperative that the alignment of the runway markings and lighting is correct, which is why I check that first without exception. I fail to understand how basic stuff like this gets through beta testing. I have seen it at airports created by numerous development studios, and I have been on a (seemingly) one man crusade over the past year to get these corrected. Several have now been updated, but there are a handful still to be done....

By the way, their Florence Airport (LIRQ) is quite good. What I don't know is if they're still in the business apart of being (or not) a MS/Asobo contractor to produce bespoke airports.

Cheers, Ed

Microsoft keeps snatching up their payware products. The EDDM in 2020/2024 and LOWI in 2024 were originally being developed as payware.

You can still see images of the LOWI on their facebook, which they haven't posted on since April 2023

I haven't upgraded to MSFS2024 yet.  But even with MSFS 2020, I only bought addons for Teir 1 devs with proper support system in place.  That is a requirement.  I even questioned one other developer as their website was total garbage and support system looked iffy, they just had an email. (who Orbx and others discontinued business dealing with them; due to some scandal).

Running a business is challenging...but best players survived.  They too started from scratch at one point.  We all have been burned by addons (especially during P3D era).  I know I have on at least 2 products (I am grateful the amount wasn't big)...but that did teach me a lesson.

By the way I am back...I forgot my login details lol
