Has anyone taken it for a test drive yet? Opinions?

Dave.

Is this still MSFS2020 only?

They mention on their discord that it will work in 2024.  Some minor issues are noted, but no showstoppers.

I am waiting for Inibuilds to release the new version, then I'll take her out for some testing in 2024.

Did a flight with the new SWS PC12 update.  First thing I noticed was the much improved ground handling.  Taxi turns are now much better.  Takeoff was also very nice, she rotated at 80 kts with just a little back pressure on the yoke.  And then the approach was also solid.  The nose attitude was constant and I didn't get any weird yawing effect.  And then my touchdown was by far the best landing I have ever done in the PC12. Held her off until around 70 kts and then she just gently touched down right on the centerline.  I am VERY impressed with this update.

Is it possible to remove the co-pilot in interior and exterior views in this one? Adding or removing weight doesn't work with some of the latest SWS updates.

At the bottom left of the copilot seat there is a "seat adjustment handle" - click on that...  Only does interior views though.

Thanks, so you can't remove the co-pilot from the external view?

I was very critical of the "unique" yawing characteristics of the PC-12 and had pushed the plane into the hangar despite the otherwise great quality. It's now coming out again!

Just had a brief look at it in 2024 and it flies very nicely ; smooth and weighty.

SWS says that any issues (like the dim digital altimeter ) will be corrected by SU1.  Big improvement from the first effort.

I downloaded the newest version, installed into 2020 and used addon linker to bring to 2024.

1. is that the right process? I thought they said it would show up natively in 2024 but I didn't see that happen. Not sure if there is another step to take? Delete from 2020?

2. flight model substantially improved, just did one circuit and had to adjust control sensitivities but once I had that dialed in, it generally behaved much more like a real airplane. A bit twitchy with very sensitive rudder so rollout was a bit dicey but so far so good.

3. I started on runway with everything running and everything seemed to work--except attitude indicator was frozen. Anyone else with taht?

"Taming" the SWS PC-12. [MSFS2024]

I had given up on the SWS PC-12 due to its squirrely flight and ground dynamics. But the new version is a revelation. It takes off comfortably (as intended) and lands solidly if you manage the speeds properly. The old tendency to meander across the runway seems to be tamed. I managed a handful of brisk crosswind takeoffs and landings and survived the event. (Not so dependable in the last version.) And then shot a couple of ILS approaches (definitely not possible beforehand with my GTN750Xi setup). I’d say that the current development project is … good! (Knock on wood.)

Thanks to the SimWorks Studios team for their skill, persistence, and hard work.
