iniBuilds A350 has been released!

Featured Replies

The IRL pilot YT streamers getting free copies of aircraft (which probably has been going on for a long while across many sims and aircraft add-ons) is one thing, but them being given free copies and then *paid* extra? Did FilbertFlies show any proof of this or is he just conjecturing?

The likes of 320 Sim Pilot, V1 Simulations, A330 Driver, Into the Blue, Blackbox 711, etc have always been straight shooters and are highly experienced IRL pilots as well as simmers across multiple sim platforms (I've heard them complain and be very critical of aircraft they've gotten free for review). I very much doubt they're going to say something they don't really mean or feel. And from what I've heard so far from these particular pilots about the ini A350, it seems in line with the majority opinion: yes systems fidelity is not at the level of the highest fidelity birds like the Fenix/PMDG/etc, and that the price is likely too high by $10-20 or whatever. That said, for the price one gets three variants and versions for both MSFS 2020 and 2024.. the market (i.e. us users) can decide on whether that's the right price point or not.

I mean, I respect your opinion but what exactly did you expect? You get the A350-1000, -900 and later -900ULR for MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024. That's a pretty good price for a high end aircraft add on and

If they get paid for something it needs to be stated in any youtube videos using it. If they don't say it, they haven't been paid.

I'm not sure what Twitch's rules are for sponsored products.

Chewwy94 is sponsored by ini as well, he's never said he's been paid directly, but sometimes ini does come in and drop a ton of gifted subs to the channel during preview or release day streams, no idea if they do that with any of the other sponsored streamers, but I wouldn't be surprised.

What folks aren't consistent on is, a gifted plane counts as being paid and needs the "paid content" disclosure.

Chewwy is also a content manager for MS. I know MS is ok with his streaming gig since he was doing it before he got hired. The sponsorships in general are hard to get a feel for outside of them gifting planes.

On top of it, some content creators buy the views and subs which just makes the whole thing a circular laugh factory.

That is a pretty big update!

Really? By law??

Yes, they should be disclosing it to YouTube so that Youtube can put the correct tags or identifiers on the video.  It is largely the honor system though and I can see people viewing this differently depending where they are in the world but that is YouTube's rules...

Yes, OK, Youtube rules are not the "law". Under law, I actually understand federal law, or whatever it's called in your country, as in, it's a crime if you don't do it and there are serious consequences.

Everything else is something like "you should...". And that has today as much meaning as nothing.

I have not seen Filbert’s video. But yes, you must let YT know you have received anything of value to make the video. This is the section you fill out.

Yes, by law. And Youtube has to abide by the laws of any country they are available at. That is why they have that rule in the first place, because otherwise the local law enforcements would go after YouTube.

Where I live it is indeed a federal law.
