As fun as 2 pages of YouTube "law" is - has anyone tried 1.0.2 yet? Any WASM crashes yet? Notable improvements?

    I mean, I respect your opinion but what exactly did you expect? You get the A350-1000, -900 and later -900ULR for MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024. That's a pretty good price for a high end aircraft add on and

Yes, and for me it’s quite good.  My biggest issue previously with WASM crashes was having to restart to import FP.  In four consecutive launches now my FP has been available at INIT without needing to restart.

Im 2 hours into a 3 hour flight and performance including frames is superb for me.  Quickly becoming my favorites large capacity people hauler.  Sorry Trip 7!

YMMV and TANSTAAFL

Some people are saying that the A350 is not worth the money because it doesn't compare to PMDG or Fenix products. Does that mean that iniBuilds cannot get there from here? Are there just some systems that are currently not modeled? It looks like a pretty complex airplane to me, so just wondering what they would need to do to get into the Fenix/PMDG league?

I find it to be modeled very well system and system depth wise and I have and fly all those other worthy players you mention. The only difference between this bird and a Fenix or PMDG offering is that it lacks finesse. Not capability or quality but finesse.

To me, and most likely to most of simmers, there are many details that you will not see. If you are real A350 pilot, then I believe you would see many. I can only see obvious ones, when something that should work does not. And if a feature is missing. The most I had were bugs, errors and crashes. It's what I am fed up of.

But, also alone knowing that I pay for an aircraft in the league of those you named, and then not get the system depth of the others - and how do I know? Because others who know more say so - gives me less satisfaction when using it.

What is finesse, in this case?

For me I would say it is as complex as the Fenix & PMDG products but I am only an experienced simmer, I have never flown any of these aircraft IRL, Fenix have nailed it though I have to say, for me I find the A320 is the best performing complex addon I own. It is really well optimized. I do hope that IniBuilds can optimize her further in upcoming updates as the A350 can be pretty hard on resources but there is one heck of a lot of glass in that cockpit lol.

Overall I do not regret the purchase, yesterday I actually completed a 15 hour flight in the A350 from Singapore to London Gatwick with zero issues, the longest fight I have ever done in all my simming years.

Okay thanks guys. It sounds like they could add whatever is missing, and with a few updates and optimizations turn this into a top tier add-on. I am definitely giving them time to get there.

Well, yes, and no... according to some, ini a350 is not real systems modelling but more kind of scripting. I can't say. But the reasoning behind is that the system don't behave as they should. I can't say who's right and who's not, but even in videos there were odd situations, there are odd reports, all points to the fact they are missing a LOT.

Absolutely. Yesterday I did the same flight in the A350 then Fenix A321 (LIRF-LSZH). FPS was up to 20 higher in the Fenix - which is still in experimental state in 2024.

An interesting comment I found on that FilbertFlies A350 Refund video posted earlier:

@bailey.nt86 - 7 hours ago
$77 USD for a plane in this state is crazy. I've seen so many content creators glazing this thing... because they got it for free, of course.

    @FilbertFlies - 6 hours ago
    iniBuilds doesn't just give their products to their favourite content creators for free, they actually PAY them to produce content. As far as I know, they're the only developer that does this.

If this is indeed true, it at least explains the large amount of positive content about the A350 from the main community creators despite the aircraft having major flaws. I wonder though, do they use the "Paid Advertisement" flags in their Youtube videos? It's one thing to promote an addon because you genuinely feel it's a good one, but it's another to do it because you're being paid to make the content by the company behind the addon. I suppose the take-away from this is "take what you see on Youtube with a huge grain of salt".

Aside from that though, I was going to purchase the A350 but I cannot give £72 for an aircraft which isn't as good as it should be because that sends a message that it is okay for them to continue to do what they're doing, i.e. releasing an aircraft which isn't ready while charging a premium. I accept that they're working on fixing bugs, but... perhaps they should have done that before releasing it? Some of the issues are obvious enough that basic QA should have caught them. The fact it was reliant on a beta release of the simulator it runs on when it came out is a big enough red flag for starters, but Inibuilds also have a history of abandoning their aircraft (XPlane) and/or not fixing glaring bugs with them (A320neo %N1-related audio) so no, it's a pass from me this time.

I've seen streamers and youtubers put an inibuilds watermark on the screen somewhere when streaming, so it's obvious they are, at least, "sponsored" by inibuilds.  Out of all the dev's I know, not a single one does this, or even pays them directly for content.  We give out review or promo versions, but there is no money exchanging hands.  So if this is true on inibuilds part, it's unorthodox, but also not surprising, based on the "sponsored" videos.

Second 350 patch seem fixed all my problems. FPS is up, 350 is flying very smooth !😎

The IRL pilot YT streamers getting free copies of aircraft (which probably has been going on for a long while across many sims and aircraft add-ons) is one thing, but them being given free copies and then *paid* extra? Did FilbertFlies show any proof of this or is he just conjecturing?

The likes of 320 Sim Pilot, V1 Simulations, A330 Driver, Into the Blue, Blackbox 711, etc have always been straight shooters and are highly experienced IRL pilots as well as simmers across multiple sim platforms (I've heard them complain and be very critical of aircraft they've gotten free for review). I very much doubt they're going to say something they don't really mean or feel. And from what I've heard so far from these particular pilots about the ini A350, it seems in line with the majority opinion: yes systems fidelity is not at the level of the highest fidelity birds like the Fenix/PMDG/etc, and that the price is likely too high by $10-20 or whatever. That said, for the price one gets three variants and versions for both MSFS 2020 and 2024.. the market (i.e. us users) can decide on whether that's the right price point or not.

PMDG 737 has given me 3 errors in 4 night of the EFB 'cannot start efb' etc. Its been out for 4 years and they are held to the gold standard...LOL Whoops forgot to SIGN my post!

Chris Chiozza

Yeah, but some of them are streamers. So there is live footage of them flying the aircraft that's not beem edited to hide errors or mistakes.
