Native 2024 C182Q

Featured Replies

Available in the marketplace.

Supports GNS or GTN (pms/tds) stacks, basic KAP autopilot.  If anyone knows where the tablet is let me know - I can't seem to find it to switch avionics. (EDIT its on the regular tablet the default one)

I just bought it - really nice sounds, walkaround capable (doesn't work in career mode), flight model seems reasonable.

Dynamic registration capable! (mine is not shown here because I'm using some hacky methods to disable dynamic reg on my paints which affects all aircraft)

(yes the cowl flags are blowing in the wind!)

edit 2:  There is no LPV GP on the HSI... this is super annoying.  There's always something with their aircraft bah!  Off to send a bug report.

Yes.  A few bugs that I've found, the altitude doesn't seem to capture very well even with ARM selected.  But the default KAP140 is terrible.  I wish they'd use the GFC500 or something.  Actually a few of us are trying to see if a mod is possible.

The pitot heat cover flag doesn't blow in the wind even though the cowl ones do hehe.

And the Glide Slope shows in VLOC but the Glide Path does not in GPS mode.  I will write them and see if they can fix it.

Overall a nice bird - the price is pretty cheap.  I remember buying their Mooney for 2020 for 40 USD lol.  This half and looks a lot nicer.

Problem with Carenado aircraft is rarely with how they look but after 2 previous version of the C182 from them I need a lot more than a pretty face and default systems to even consider it.

How do you enable the GTN, did you find the tablet?

I won't even bother with Carenado aircraft anymore, not up to par with others like Black Square (not even close) and even though Carenado has been in the market for ages, they still keep releasing half baked aircraft covered with bugs, some of which very seldom get fixed.

Can anyone tell me, what is the difference between this 2024 native 'Q' version and the original Carenado 182 for 2020?

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

Besides the useless (for me) walk around feature, one obvious difference is the panel, this one features steam gauges while the 2020 one was a G1000. You can also use a GTN750 on this one and couldn't with the 2020 CT182T. Don't know if there are other differences though.

I think the 2020 version was the T182 with g1000.  They also released a 182 RG that looks similar to this.

I took the plunge and purchased it.

Carenado have done a great job with it. Quite immersive with a beautifully developed interior and exterior model with custom sounds.

Flies nicely......such a great tourer and a welcome addition to my fleet.
