Which airport addon would you like to see, and why?

Featured Replies

KDFW by Flightbeam or Fly Tampa would be a Dream. Why, its only one of the largest and busiest airports in the world. Oh LFPG would be nice too, Pyreegue shock us with LFPG.

I would love to see a Jo Erlund EDDH Hamburg - the simwings version is ok, but performance, textures and (night) lighting not the best. I've been also waiting for a decend EGCC Manchester scenery

they won't even do egcc because it's too big for them. lfpg is different league compared to egcc.

Yeah I understand but it was a dream by me using the word or term Shock. No high quality scenery developer wants to do Dallas Fort worth either.

Probably a pipe dream, but I'd like to see some of the more prominent military training bases for both fixed and rotary wing in various countries around the world. E.g., NAS Whiting Field, RAF Shawbury,  AdA Provence, Krasnodar .ru, or any others.

I wouldn't be too concerned about who does it as long as it's relatively good.

And no, I couldn't care less about detailed admin building interiors, but hangars, shelters and other airside detail would be great.

P.s., while I'm at it, itd be fantastic if iniBuilds would finish off the military side of Honolulu Intl. They don't even have the Alert Hangars right at the end of 8L that practically every airliner at the airport taxis right past...

I like to fly in daylight, but because of life, I have to fly when it is nighttime here in the USA. Therefore I would love to see more airports in Asia, so I could fly where the sun is up using real-time traffic and weather.

Ideally, medium-sized airports anywhere in Asia (by medium-sized, I mean at least one 8000 ft runway, but not major hubs) that are in some way interesting, or are near mountains or oceans.

I have just thought of another one that I would like to see from MK Studios, and that is LMML Malta International. I know that there is one available from JustSim, but I need a really top quality version (with lots of interior modelling of the terminal and other buildings, and maybe even custom POIs of the harbour and other areas if they feel like splashing out)

KMCO and KFLL both are rising in popularity and both are borderline atrocious in the addon realm. I dont usually fly west coast but apparently KSEA MKStudios is such a hit that now everyone wants them to do the world. I'll be headed there this weekend to check it out for certain.

Pyreegue and Fly Tampa are free to provide alternatives to both of my suggestions if they feel inclined to do so

I use this one by Chak991, not sure how it compares to your payware...

My preference for Hamburg would be EDHI Hamburg Finkenwerder, because of that massive Airbus manufacturing plant on site. That gives the place some meaning for what would otherwise not be an area of interest for me.

My choice would be LFMN Nice Cote D'Azur from MK Studios. We do not have a top quality version of this airport in MSFS. It is a great location for an airport, with some outstanding scenery in close proximity. It also has some interesting approaches from the east. As for the developer, I have always liked MK Studios airports, but they seem to be getting better and better with each successive release. Lots of detail, good quality textures, impressive interior detail in terminals and other buildings, and (perhaps most importantly at this point) they have not abandoned MSFS 2020.

So, which airport/developer combination would you like to see in the near future?

Hi Christopher. I own JustSim NG LFMN for 2024 and I do find it outstanding. Good textures, good performance and interiors modelled well. I was positively surprised by this one.

Marcus P.

I thought that it looked quite good when I first saw it, but then I noticed the weird night lighting textures on the terminal, and it stopped me in my tracks. I know that we can never get 100% perfection, but some stuff just bothers me more than I wish it would!

Forget all your dreams about FlyTampa or Flightbeam airports. yes, it would be nice to have most airports done by those guys but they are mainly solo devs and it become quite impossible for them in 2025 to develop new big airports.

Just look at how long it took Mir to build KSFO. And it still need to update KDEN and KMSP so it might take a while before we see some pics of KPHX. Same for Flytampa, they still need some updates to bring their former release to msfs24 so they probably won't release new sceneries like hot cakes.

MK-Studios and Inibuilds seems to have a bigger team and they are able to release more airports. So now, in 2025, they are really the devs to count on. And by the way, they really improved even if I think Flightbeam & Flytampa are still a notch above. The last scenery from MK, Seattle is really well done.
