Hey im just reporting but can we be best friends?

Orbx KATL is about to revolutionize scenery
So here it is May 3rd in the year of our lord 2026 and there is still no word of KATL release even after not one but two updates in April. I dont claim to be an insider but word has it that the conference call didnt go too well. Ive obtained audio but for legal reasons I wont post it. Apparently there was a discrepancy with the positioning of pigeon droppings on concourse A and T and to make matters worse there was an argument about the window tint in concourse B. The CEO Anna Cicognani has gotten involved. From the information im getting this scenery is going revolutionize what we all consider top tier. The email: Matteo, I am going to make this very simple for you. Release. The. Scenery. I have been patient. I have smiled and nodded through eighteen months of 'just one more texture pass' and 'the jetway angles aren't quite right.' I sat quietly while you were measuring windows and checking tint in Concourse B. I said nothing when you spent three weeks getting the reflection on the AirTrain windows to your satisfaction. I supported you. But I have just learned — and I want you to understand that I am physically shaking as I type this — that you have been modeling pigeon droppings at the WRONG TERMINAL. The wrong terminal, Matteo. There are people out there flying into KATL right now with a scenery package from 2019 that doesn't even have the correct Concourse F geometry, and you are over there painstakingly rendering guano that no one will ever zoom in far enough to see, at a terminal where it doesn't even belong. You have 72 hours. The pigeon situation is no longer your concern. Ship it. Ship it as-is. Move the birds, don't move the birds, move the word not allowed, don't move the word not allowed, I genuinely do not care anymore. The community needs this airport and I need my blood pressure medication to actually work. Do not test me further. Anna P.S. — If I see one more 'almost ready' post on the Discord I am coming to your house. 😬😬😬😬 I guess stay tuned.... 💀

Icing after SU4
Im sorry I forgot to add that I didnt see no airframe icing nor on the windscreen but I did have my heat on since it was 0c OAT. I left the important part out in the future I will make sure to include all the finer details. OH I FORGOT I tried to get deiced but GSX threw an error probably was like look at this crazy loon trying to deice a DA40 or Humberto got a notification and he denied such nonsense. Either way I took off later that night from CYHZ and ended up diverting to CYQI which was in worse shape and miraculously didnt ice up there either. Hope that relevances things up a bit up to the standard 29.92 🫡

Icing after SU4
Imagine being in a DA40 today at CYHZ waiting an hour and a half for storms to pass only for it to flare back up and diverting to CYQI because of the fear of icing (and 50kts headwinds) and coming on here and seeing this thread 🤦 yep that really happened

Looks like SU4 is now out
Ok from the perspective of a non beta participant. 7950x3d 4090 64gb. Ive been suffering through horrible ground stutter to the point I got used to it. When I landed in KEWR Sunday I was down to 25-30fps and it was struggling. Loaded in today 75fps no ground stutter and the overall menu and ui feel is just 100 times more snappy. I can tell they really worked on it for us x3d users finally! My only complaint is they released it on a Monday. Now this week is going to drag knowing that I have a functioning sim waiting on me 😉

MSFS24 SU4 beta update 1.6.29.0 - 21/11/25
Im praying that this is the one and that were not waiting until SU5 6 7 Im excited for this one because without flat-out saying it in the last dev stream they are optimizing for those of us with the X3Ds and I believe theres quite a few of us.

Sound Popping & Stuttering
I did this but I installed the realtek digital audio driver to use SPDIF (Optical) it sends the raw output to my speakers and then my speakers process it vs. Having the cpu handle it. Been good ever since
- Need help, X-Codr KDEN not showing up after Orbx install
-
Sound Popping & Stuttering
What cleared it up for me was disabling all unused audio devices and ensuring that the audio device I'm using was selected in the sim.

Graphic settings in MSFS 2024 keep changing on me
Landed here after yet again my texture resolution has been reverting to low. It has been going on for a while thought I had it fixed and boom again low texture resolution. Im in the process of crossing my fingers clenching my butt cheeks and nuking the install. I have had the same install since launch.

Settings for 9800X3D & 5090
This is the way. Im running a 7950x3d/4090 and I recently found out that MSFS2024 values latency over raw power. With that being said,an aggressive core offset could undervolt certains cores upsetting the L3 Cache. Ive since dialed down my offset and Im seeing better results.

Active Sky for FS2024
With active sky there's no radar but it does have a precipitation maps with sigmets you can make educated guesses with. It also shows injected traffic. It's not over the top amazing but it works.

Active Sky for FS2024
Dude you would love Active Sky then. One bonus is there is SI integration. I just got done doing a Brazil tour in a DA40 and if I don't feel like I escaped with my life. It just so happened it was raining season in Brazil and flew through some insane weather saw plenty of lightning and I mean ALOT. Towards the end I was fighting some "gethereitis" because Fenix was talking about a BFU and whatnot. Took off from SBRJ in some seriously wild conditions. I love ActiveSky and im pretty sure you will too. This was in 24 BTW mostly night ops because I always fly real-time and have a demanding job.

Which airport addon would you like to see, and why?
KMCO and KFLL both are rising in popularity and both are borderline atrocious in the addon realm. I dont usually fly west coast but apparently KSEA MKStudios is such a hit that now everyone wants them to do the world. I'll be headed there this weekend to check it out for certain.

Suddenly new 19 GB nVidia Streamline dump files?
I took your entire post and ran it by my assistant here's what he had to say: What's happening with that Streamline folder and all those .dmp files? Streamline is normally meant for DLSS, Reflex, and similar vendor tech to hook into games without requiring full SDK integration. HOWEVER — in your case, it’s not being used for super-resolution stuff. Those .dmp files (mini-dumps) are crash diagnostics. What's clear: Something inside Flight Simulator 2024 SU2 Beta caused NVIDIA Streamline to capture crash dumps — probably because Streamline is active at a deep driver level in this beta version. Those files aren't normal or expected under healthy conditions. They are basically NVIDIA's automatic "here's what went wrong" captures, probably so MSFS 2024 or NVIDIA can debug beta issues later. --- The big evidence: From your dump excerpt: > (32e8.13c0): Access violation - code c0000005 c0000005 = classic access violation (bad pointer, memory out of bounds). Shadow Stack protection mentioned = modern CPU defenses kicking in to catch it. This means something (probably inside MSFS 2024 or its graphics API calls through Streamline) was crashing bad enough that NVIDIA thought, "Hey, let's make a record of this for engineers." --- Why did it stop today? Because the crashes stopped. Streamline is a passive recorder in this case — it doesn't generate files unless there's a crash. No crash = no new Streamline folder. --- Can you delete it? Yes. Absolutely. It’s just crash reports. It has no live effect on running FS 2024, the beta, or NVIDIA. Think of it like your own personal "black box" recorder for flights that ended badly. It’s safe to delete the entire ProgramData\NVIDIA\Streamline folder if you want. And frankly, since it ate 19.6 GB like a fat kid at a candy store — I would. --- Why did renaming or deleting it improve performance? Less stress on the C:\ drive. No background I/O overhead from the Streamline service trying to log. Less Windows resource contention (ProgramData is not meant to be spammed that way). Psychologically — knowing the drive isn't on life support also helps.

Ships & Boats In MSFS 2024
I never got Seafront simulations to work in 2020 something about changing sim time? I haven't bothered in 2024 yet because of this.

Say Intentions Feature Reveal Trailer
Im a Say Intentions Partner and Annual Subscriber. I became one when BATC almost got me killed in KBOS cause they run their own make-believe ATIS and as someone who strives for real world ops this wasn't going to cut it. SI also has ActiveSky integration so if the qnh in KPHL is 29.92 its 29.92 in SI and in the sim. Im currently in Brazil in a DA40 and the tour guide has taught me so much about the area. I think overall SI is the superior product. As for traffic its in alpha Im not expecting much but id bet that this time next year it'll be amazing. These guys are relentless they even poached the ai flow/ground guy. Im pretty sure they will stop at nothing to be the top dog in AI ATC. Also, it's my humble opinion that BATC is for causal simmers, guys that just want to look cool. SI is for the professionals. Im not a bot.

some more regression in 2024 and the WU19
I think this is indicative of a much bigger problem happening among us. Unfortunately,it seems like people are becoming less "savvy". In my workplace the goal is to do as little work possible for the highest compensation. When I look at the gaming industry it seems like that attitude is quite prevalent. Im going to give 24 another spin in Brazil this weekend. Im praying im not disappointed.

Parameters.XML Comprehensive list?
Is there a list of what all the parameters in the xml file do? I'm trying to squeeze the juices out of this awesome program.
