FYI. SU3 Beta Starts Tomorrow

Featured Replies

I read it first on the Official PMDG Discord, then confirmed it on the Working Title Discord.  Those with cold feet should unenroll from the beta program tonight

I don't even know how not be in beta anymore, I've left that setting on since pretty much betas became a thing in 2020.

Speaking of 2020, SU16 beta starts soon (tomorrow?) as well!

Easiest route is via the Xbox insider app.  You can enroll/dis enroll with a single click.

No I mean like mentally, it's just like a warm, cosy blanket of constant bug fixes.

Have they provided a list? I'm just longing for further VRAM treatments

DA B760M PRO4 | i5-13400F | RTX 3060 12 GB | G.Skills Ripjaws 32GB | MSI MAG A550BN | Ace Power 1 TB NVMe  | Cooler Master Hyper 212

Be interesting to see if the SU3 beta has fixes for the blatant obvious regressions that are in SU2, if it does it begs the question why weren't they included? And how have they not learnt ANYTHING in 4+years!?!

Time will tell, let's see what they've broken this time 😆

Pico Neo3 Link VR - Windows 11 64bit, Gigabyte Z590 Aorus Elite Mobo, i7-10700KF CPU, Gigabyte RX 9070 XT OC 16gb (AMD GPU), 32gig Corsair 3600mhz RAM, SSD x2 + M.2 SSD 1tb x1

Saitek X45 HOTAS - Saitek Pro Rudder Pedals - Logitech Flight Yoke - Homemade 3 Button & 8-directional Joystick Box, SNES Controller (used as a Button Box - Additional USB Numpad (used as a Button Box)

I was so pleasantly surprised by the shock of SU2 and all it delivered yesterday that I'm not going to join this one either.

 9950X3D - X870E Aorus Master- TUF 5090 OC - 64GB DDR5 - 1500W HXi - Titan 360 RX LCD - 9100 Pro x 2  - LG 45GX950A - HOTAS Warthog with Ava Base

I remained in beta and will happily continue. SU betas are like a box of chocolate, you’ll never know what to get 🙂  so I like that „excitement“

Your propeller falling off 😁

FS2024 • PMDG 738, 77F • FSL A321 • A2A Comanche, Aerostar • BS Baron, Bonanza, Caravan Pro • JF Tomahawk • TAOG H500C
BeyondATC • GSX Pro • ChasePlane & Flow Pro • TDS GTNXi • FSUIPC • AutoFPS • RealTurb

It's about time continual rolling betas were introduced.
It's clear the betas need as much testing as possible so getting people finding bugs as quickly as possible is of paramount importance to the job of getting '24 properly sorted.

What exactly will be updated in SU16 for MSFS 2020? I am assuming that none of the issues that affect me will be included.

I like the new ground physics. I now have to consider go-arounds in gusty conditions.  The lighting model is very good.  Cloudscapes have more variation. In fact there are many upgrades I like very much.

But, but, why haven't they learnt anything in four+ years?

Hopefully nothing that breaks, that's the very first worry with any update released.
