Sounds like it will be awhile before SU3 releases.  Is it still possible to sign up for the beta?

I'm a ga only guy so I'm sure it will be ok.

Kinda feels the opposite to me after reading recent reports, I wouldn't be surprised if this is the last build before RTM.

this is the biggest reason XP12 got my attention over the last couple of months.  Is visibility distance of airborne traffic improved, or are they still culled and disappear?

Hello Sky_Pilot071,

The first SU3 beta build released on May 16, less than two months ago.

I've seen nav lights from aircraft at cruise altitude from the ground. idk if the model was still rendered, it was night.

Yes, it is much improved. I can see AI traffic from a distance now and can also finally see contrails.

Thanks, but I'm more interested in seeing the models themselves at a realistic distance.

doesn't look like it.

The distance aircraft renders seems relative to the size of the model. Like a 737 is vanishing at 3.65NM, but an A380 or 777 keeps rendering fine.
