Anyone having the issue that several sliders go to Ultra when starting up the sim ?

Buildings / Trees / Grass / all Traffic

All other sliders remain where I put them.

In the NV App already Optimize settings are Off.

It happens on both my pc’s ( different accounts )

I don't have that issue.

Most people don’t . Do you use the NV App ?

Trying to get to the bottom of the issue. I get the feeling that even with Optimized the NV App is the cause.

Nope sorry. These settings stayed where I let them.

doesn't look like it.

The distance aircraft renders seems relative to the size of the model. Like a 737 is vanishing at 3.65NM, but an A380 or 777 keeps rendering fine.

That is disappointing to read.  No change then.

Yesterday in XP12 I flew from Shoreham to Cambridge.  I saw GA traffic on the TCAS and visually. Airliners 10+ miles away arriving and departing at several London airports.  Seeing traffic makes the flight more immersive.  It seems this is something MSFS is just not going to fix.

Hello Sky_Pilot071,

The first SU3 beta build released on May 16, less than two months ago.

No matter - I just realized that the internet in my current location won't allow me to play MSFS until early August.

Leave FS2024 alone if you fly airliners, trust me...

I reinstalled MSFS the other day and the experience is 100x better. Even the graphics are better at high altitude, with crisp terrain textures at all FLs.

Keep '24 for VFR and walking outside. Tree trunks, pebbles and daisies are really nice. Also the global lighting is better than in MSFS, it's a pity that it's not possible to get it in the old sim.

I'm only on FS2020 with REX Atmos and I'm having a blast. I know both versions perfectly. I fly 40 to 50 hours a week. They really hold no secrets for me anymore. I've even used FS2024 in every possible and imaginable situation. This is a FUN version designed to fly at low altitude with a small plane under the cloud cover one or two Sundays per month without being lenient on everything else. It's like wine, this version for me will not be a great vintage from start to finish. That's one of my biggest certainties. Thanks for the advice though.

Yes, I use the Nvidia app but don't use the Optimize feature.

Airliners (Fenix A320, iFly 737 Max, Aerosoft CRJ) perform just fine in MSFS 2024. In 2D I have no problems maintaining 60 fps with frame generation 2x at all times (everything on Ultra). Even on large airports with traffic. Even VR flying is really nice with the latest beta build. Maintaining 40 fps in the Crystal Light most of the times.

second that. the latest SU3 build is just great. performance impeccable, even with FENIX at ini EGLL where I just landed. Yes, I have not all or even much on ultra, primarily clouds and turned down/off stuff like fauna and TLOD to 100 only which may some may dislike, but it does the trick for me. as usual YMMV

We do not all have a 5090 card...

I know. But then it shouldn't be a huge surprise not achieving satisfactory performance. I was using a 6900XT until this year and was always aware that this is not sufficient to run MSFS 2024 with everything on Ultra. Do people really expect to run MSFS 2024 on 4 year old hardware with everything maxed out?
