We’ll see. They will then completely lose me as a customer, and I have something like 90% of their catalog.Who ordered this? I mean, is there actually more pirating than legitimate sales? They’d be treating all of us as potential thieves. Jack Sawyer
May 29May 29 In reading the Orbx forums it was apparently at the request of the developer. I posted in their forums but it’s awaiting approval from a moderator. Maybe I’ll get censored 🤪. This was my response to one of the moderators saying zero performance impact with DRM:“I think you’re missing the bigger picture. What if 200 developers all wanted their own DRM, and now I have dozens of these things running in the background whether I use their scenery during a flight session or not? A thief was never going to pay for his scenery anyway.” Edited May 29May 29 by Gilandred Gary i9-13900K, Asus RTX 4080, Asus Z790 Plus Wi-Fi, 32 GB Ram, Seasonic GX-1000W, LG C1 48” OLED 4K monitor, Quest 3 VR
May 29May 29 One thing they can do is just release it on marketplace. I hate marketplace but getting sceneries from there isn’t the WORST in the world. They’ll have their precious encryption without the need to load my pc with bloatware. Edited May 29May 29 by UAL4life

Notes says it auto disables default Atlanta? If they wanted it secure, they should have just uploaded to the Marketplace as those files are encrypted. They answered my questions. 1. Yes2. You need to start it before you select Atlanta, FS24 can already be running3. Haven't tested that. However it consumes almost zero resources so if are flying in the US you might as well start it when you start the sim.4. If you don't have it running you get an airport full of pink buildings, ie it disables the textures. So if I want to fly to Atlanta, from Atlanta, over Altanta, near Atlanta, or have any possibility of diverting to Atlanta, I need to remember to start their DRM program before I start the simulator . I hope they know what they’re doing and good luck to them all 🤞 Gary i9-13900K, Asus RTX 4080, Asus Z790 Plus Wi-Fi, 32 GB Ram, Seasonic GX-1000W, LG C1 48” OLED 4K monitor, Quest 3 VR

Are they going to make this retroactive for every airport they sell? Jack Sawyer
May 29May 29 This is a rather disappointing revelation. Whilst it was always going to be an outside bet that I would purchase this airport (as I do not generally fly in the USA), I am no longer interested. I think they need to have a long, hard think about this one. I guess that sales figures will reveal whether they need to take action or not. Been doing it since the 80’s. I had my fun and my life now has more hobbies than time. Being treated like a potential thief is not a good business model for me though. I detest pirates and like someone said, the Marketplace would have been a lot better. Your product MY money. Jack Sawyer
May 29May 29 I went from instant purchase to nothing. As said here before, the marketplace would have worked for most of us. If the claim is that it’s “it’s not going away “ then I’ll get used to default buildings and call it a day. Bad enough that we have several passwords to remember and then they are trying to impose a password or background application per scenery? No thank you. "I am the Master of the Fist!" -Akuma
