Very good video. Would be good to know if these airports are for 24 and 20.

Great video and information on some nice-looking airports. Going to have to download them and check them out in sim.

It tells you right in the video title that these are for 2024. That said, there might be previous 2020 version on Flightsim.TO.. you never know.

There's so much great freeware out there.  I only knew of one of these.

Hi mate,

These all work well in 2024.

Jase

I hope the world hub comes to life soon and th community can start fixing the default stuff. I know the first iteration is limited but it’s a start. I do think that in another year we really should be able to see more and more airports get community updates

9800X3d, 4090, 64 GB DDR5 6000 RAM, 4 TB NVME (2x2), 4K Ultra + Framegen

I do have Duxford already and having watched this video I checked out the others but I think they are just too large. Around 1GB for a single small airport is too much unless you have a real connection to it.

They are beautifully made models and maybe interesting to explore on foot, if you enjoy that, but they have gone far beyond anything that adds to the experience of flying in or out of.

fortunately. 😃

AMD 7800X3D, Windows 11, Gigabyte X670 AORUS Elite AX Motherboard, 64GB DDR5 G.SKILL Trident Z5 NEO RGB (AMD Expo), RTX 4090,  Samsung 980 PRO M.2 NVMe SSD 2 TB PCIe 4.0, Samsung 980 PRO M.2 NVMe SSD 1 TB PCIe 4.0, 4K resolution 50" TV @60Hz, VR: Pimax Crystal Light + HP Reverb G2 @ 90 Hz, Honeycomb Bravo Throttle Quadrant, be quiet 1000W PSU, Noctua NH-U12S chromax.black air cooler.

60-130 fps. no CPU overclocking.

very nice.

Nothing wrong with adding huge amounts of additional detail to surrounding areas. I can see plenty of areas at Duxford where my plane is not allowed to go, and simply knowing that there is all of that detail increases my immersion. It is very similar to me knowing that a horrible blurred out area of ground textures (French naval dockyard) is close to LFRB Brest Bretagne. Simply knowing that is there is enough to stop me from flying to that airport.

Strange, but true

Are we the same folks that devoted entire multi-terabyte drives to store MSFS2020?....

One would think that even with 1gb sceneries, we would come out ahead in that equation by not having the storage needs of the previous iteration of the sim.

Well, after watching the video I have downloaded all of them, and they are all a joy to explore, fly into, around and out of. The extra details are all very nice and look great, help with immersion and are simply cool 😊There are so many affordable storage options available. I do not understand the problem with them being 1gb downloads.

I'm a diehard airport junky, both IRL and in the sim, so I would strongly disagree.  Having a detailed airport that looks and feels like the real location makes the trips to and from more enjoyable for me and disk space is cheap these days, but to each their own.
