  • And the goal of this thread is what exactly?

  • Posting here WON'T HELP.  Post at the main MSFS forums, post in the bug section.  Not even sure there's much they can do about that.  It's a difference in imagery tiles that causes that.

  • The OP just likes to do this. There’s no point to discussing it. They don’t like MSFS (which is of course fine, everyone can have their own opinion), and they want to push that opinion on everyone els

It's entirely possible that the sim is working as designed and there is no problem other than the data being streamed is incorrect.

We see this in ortho all the time where tiles are slightly miscoloured. The AI may be mistaking the data for a different season but is actually working properly based on the data it has - garbage in, garbage out.

There are a number of problems in the sim where I could criticize Asobo for poor quality control.  Specific airports or instances where ground imagery isn't perfect (when the entire world is modeled in the sim) are not on my list.

Since when has the colour of trees in the base satellite images determined the colour of the displayed autogen trees? Surely that is determined by the date?

Since 2020.  The shaders determine the season generally.. but the base tiles do affect the color of trees etc

Sorry to break the news to you, it's not Asobo that does QC, in my case, it's me, and so far I like what I see.

So why do I not see autumn colour trees right now in MSFS 2020? For the record, I do not want to see autumn colour trees. I prefer my autogen trees to be 100% evergreen  Is there an on/off switch for this in the Options Menu?

I don't know anything about where you live but in my location it's basically fall...so the trees and textures are mostly correct.  I don't think there's an switch.  But just use custom weather and change the date/time.

I never owned Bijans and fly mainly in the Western US and really luv MSFS 2024s fall trees now.

Asobo does quality control after a product or update is released rather than before.  At least sim updates are now going through a well supported beta process.

Hey listen folks if you are not happy with the MS/Asobo product there are other options out there.

Just want to point that out.

So this feature requires custom weather to work? If so, that would explain why I do not see it.

Neither will threads like this improve the product...

Threads like this bring awareness about certain issues. Whether we like it or not.
The only way to improve a product is to call out issues in the hope of being fixed, not to be taken personally.

In my case, like many others, I reported numerous discrepancies on their forum and to Asobo Studio; some received traction, while others did not. Many bugs/reports are ignored and not fixed, while others were deleted by their "administrator" or whoever is in charge there.

So perhaps we should ask ourselves, if we stop bringing up discrepancies or complaints about any product after following the correct guidance provided by the developer or other means of communication, such as the internet, forums, and other platforms, where will that leave us?
Should we remain quiet and go with the flow, accepting something that is wrong?

Silly to even comment then.

What's your point??? Your worse than the OP.

And once again, have you aired this grievance on the appropriate site. Obviously no one here can fix it! its like going to your dentist and complaining about a problem with your car! I'm out!
