Its a track car. No dirt roads I wouldn't have thought. But it does have a filter system for dust.

There was an F1 car some years ago that was banned due to dust blown backward, if I recall corectly. Not sure how this car deals with that.

Edit: Just read that it does blow dust behind the car, you can see it spiraling at the rear.

Utter nonsense! And likely to get the thread locked. He has had his YT channel way back since 2010. It was the very early 2000s when he first became interested in electric cars, while filming Scrapheap Challenge. Since then "Fully Charged" has grown massively in size and scope. And good for him, he's doing a great job. Absolutely nobody should blame him for allowing his channel to grow to such proportions. If you or me were interested in a subject, you can be sure we would do the same. 

His channel is not supported by government, its funded by his own personnel funds, crowdfunding, investment, live events and advertising. 

Lets not get the thread locked when its only just started by conjuring up conspiracy theories. 

 

As for the car in the video, not much good for you or me, it's only good for racing around a track at crazy speed. However, the battery pack is of interest, and I can see it being utilized in the cars we might drive. Not necessarily in terms of the chemistry, but in terms of the geometry. Its not the typical "skateboard platform" but cube shaped, so its much more flexible in terms of where it can be placed. It also has a very high power density.

I seriously hope not. Because it becomes... forums members censoring topics by getting them purposely or not purposely, locked. That's the role of the moderators, not forum members who don't like a particular technology.

Whenever anything about EV's or their technology is posted somebody comes along and drags up climate change,  or conspiracy theories re "shill's" or the anti-EV rhetoric. All that does is sabotage the thread.

This is supposed to be about the technology, the car, not all the other stuff that gets threads locked. I really hope, for once, we can stick to the interesting technology, the battery geometry, the cars suction fans. That would be appreciated.

Watching this do the speed trial at the festival of speed was just insane. The amount of grip it retained was crazy. Fabulous engineering work.

The idea of creating a vacuum to push the car down for more traction is pretty ingenious.  It's basically like the rear wing on sports cars, but this is a more powerful active system whereas that one is passive and the force increases with speed. 

BTW, this could also be accomplished with a conventionally-powered vehicle.
