Can't argue with this but something about this version gives me pause.🤔 Maybe it's the overly cumbersome controller configuration settings, overly reliant on streaming (adversely affecting some of us with buffer bloat that we can't do anything about thanks to lake of competition from our internet providers😒), many favorite add-ons haven't been came over yet, or the many experienced simmers out there confessing 2024 is still not prime time. 2020 just works for what it does and I have a nice alternative to the Longitude that gives me the whole aircraft virtually. At some point I'll make the switch.🙃 Edited November 7, 2025Nov 7 by Dillon FS2020 Alienware Aurora R11 10th Gen Intel Core i7 10700F - Windows 11 Home 32GB Ram NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super OC 16GB - Pimax Crystal Light VR

Who are the many experienced simmers out there confessing FS2024 is still not prime time? I understand you haven't bought FS2024 yet, so haven't directly experienced it, but anyone who purports that 2024 is still not prime time, seriously should not be taken seriously. Sure, it was a horrific mess at launch. As of now, I personally think it's the most polished flight sim we've ever had, one year into release. You go back a long way Dillon and I know you're very conservative about MS version upgrades. I recall your die-hard refusal to move to FSX, and instead you stayed with FS2004 for a long time, back in the day! 😄 But honestly, given all the additional features, better visuals, improved FDE, etc, etc (PS... 'Career' is of no interest to me - I'm talking core sim) and the fact that - for me at least - PC performance is waaaaaayy better in 2024 than 2020, I can't think of any reason why anyone would still be using 2020. But “not ready for prime time” simply isn’t accurate. if favorite addons held me back, I’d still be mainlining P3D. Instead, I just leave it installed for those times I want them and “cumbersome controls” is still somewhat valid, but I’ll tell ya, it works very well once the admittedly complex methodology clicks for you im not criticizing your choice to stick with 2020, but I do highly recommend you at least stick your toes in the water with 2024. you may find you stick with 2020 for certain things, but there is just as much to enjoy with 2024 🤙

November 7, 2025Nov 7 Well I prefer first hand experience over what other people say. I switched to 2024 full time in December when the Fenix got its experimental 2024 update, and since then all of the addons I used in 2020 that didn't work in 2024 out of the box now do, other than Flow. He is permanently 2024 now and regularly extols it's virtues and superiority over 2020! Time moves fast in the FS world. We all know that 2024 was a mess on release and there are many videos from many "experienced" simmers out there, that pointed this out at the time. As far as I know, all the 'well known' FS YouTubers are 2024 now - at least the vast majority of the time. PS.... YouTube Content Creators does not necessarily equate to "experienced". There are many of the 'big names' that really lack base knowledge. It really irks me because they take on an assumed authority as though they really are experts, then don't know a turn co-ordinator from a ADI, or think that FLC mode is for the autothrottle. I'll not get personal on here because I know some of you worship these people, but there are 2 big names in particular that get referenced here as though they are authoritative experts, when in fact they are really lacking in base general knowledge. One is male, one is female! November 11, 2025Nov 11 Author Thanks everyone who responded - I did end up getting it anyway since it was on sale however as many of you have mentioned it is a significant downgrade from C750 which I'm used to. Again it is default Asobo plane so I was not expecting anything better anyway but G3000 is neat feature certainly gets the job done. Loading weight and balance is big headache though, Unlike in third party aircraft where it is either managed by tablet or FMC, loading payload and fuel via default UI is no fun. Navigraph integration is already included in G3000 - I still don't understand why didn't asobo made simbrief integration with regards to loading fuel and payload. Other then that good bird to fly into if one is looking for change from C750. Can anyone explain how do I go about putting correct fuel and payload into this? I try to put in the values via default fuel and payload ui however soon after it automatically changes values again to something else.

The best thing about this aircraft is everything that goes on inside it. It has nothing to do with the C750, for me in terms of system simulation; it is in the top three of this type of aircraft for any simulator.

November 12, 2025Nov 12 I fly the Latitude in real life and love the Longitude however nobody here has mentioned how atrocious the sounds are... FTSIM was able to really do a good sound set for the 2020 version, and even today that is a great jet to fly I have featured it on my youtube channel. However, Asobo won't allow anyone to break in to mod the sounds in the 2024 version that is streaming, and it has horrible sounds. nothing like the real aircraft which I am basically flying today... That is the only hold back to a great product - one that won't be solved soon unless asobo opens it up to 3rd party access.....
