A quote:

'...We've always prioritised looking after products you've already paid for, before asking people to part with their money for more, and this trend continues here [...] The NEOs are in a place where they will be ready to drop into wider testing once we release new VNAV and the new ECAM infrastructure to you all, so don’t panic too hard '

Key takeaway for me:

As for state saving - this involves much more than just synchronising the switch and button positions, and work in this area is moving along well also. We plan to have this in your hands after the VNAV and ECAM infrastructure update.

Still can't buy the Fenix A320s since this is a major feature for me, which I can't do my type of simming without it.

I have 100% Airbus atrophy at this point.  So waiting isn't a problem for me.

5800X3D, 4090FE, 64GB DDR4 3600C16, Gigabyte X570S MB, EVO 970 M.2's, Alienware 3821DW  and 2  22" monitors, Corsair RM1000x PSU,  360MM MSI MEG, MFG Crosswind, T16000M Stick, Boeing TCA Yoke/Throttle, Skalarki MCDU and FCU, Logitech Radio Panel/Switch Panel, Spad.Next

So good and bad news.

Good news is, the systems modeling and behaviour will get even better than it already is.

Bad news is, expecting the NEO before Spring is unrealistic.

Wonder if the state saving will lead to implementing a MEL feature like on the FSL busses.

Are they adding the anti-solar radiation software updates?  I don't want my Fenix fleet to be grounded.

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

Intel 14900K in a Z790 motherboard with water cooling, RTX 4080, 32 GB 6000 CL30 DDR5 RAM, W11 and MSFS on Samsung 980 Pro NVME SSD's.  Core Isolation Off, Game Mode Off.

Fenix' Dave does that faster than AirbusTech while you're sleeping 😊

Noooooooooo, another winter without the new snow and ice effects...😭

As much as I'm looking forward to the NEOs, I personally think it is a good decision to first improve the VNAV. The amount of care they put into their A320 is incredible. State saving is also a very nice feature.

They are my number one developer with what they do and how they do it.

cheers,
NiIs U.

Finally the VNAV gets some love !

I am glad they didn’t listen to all the “pro” gamers-almost real airline pilots, who consistently telling others nothing is wrong with the VNAV, and its only a “skill issue”, “thats why you got the spoliers” etc etc…

Thank you Fenix team

The VNAV, not the LNAV.

Amiir stated on a number of occasions how they have an internal list of "goodies" that they'll treat us to as time permits. I am hoping MEL's and more crew / dispatch simulation are some of them, but the hint in this blig about a new secret feature has me excited.

Can't wait.

Take-offs are optional, landings are mandatory.
The only time you have too much fuel is when you're on fire.
To make a small fortune in aviation you must start with a large fortune.

There's nothing less important than the runway behind you and the altitude above you.
It's better to be on the ground wishing you were in the air, than in the air wishing you were on the ground.

... will be (for free) most likely more comprehensive than PMDGs "complete overhaul" for their MSFS2024 version of the 737, which PMDG wants us to pay for.
