I can’t find any concerns online and am close to purchasing this as I do really miss seeing ships below me more than I thought I would - even the silly XP12 ships that don’t seem to follow routes add some immersion. But I fear stutters more than seasickness! 😂 Never had a single stutter or other performance impact since I started using this.

March 1Mar 1 The problem with most users is that they rely on YT videos to tweak their system, instead of playing with their settings and monitoring results. Every system is unique. YMMV MSFS

The rental thing IS a great idea - esp if it applies to an eventual full purchase! 👍 I do the vast majority of my flying along coastlines, so I’ve always felt like this was worth the cost. Also since many of their ships are helo-compatible 😎 I will say the new Asobo ships look good enough that I will try landing on them, too. And it’s WEIRD to sink right through deck 🤣

I especially loved it for the US Great Lakes as I used to live in Duluth and watch ships come and go. I've seen them flying there irl. There's just some really cool about Nautical and Aeronautical haha. I was sad that GAIST wasn't working for me in 2024 though. Seafronts offering isn't quite as nice imo but it's still pretty cool. And as you say the decks are good for whirlybirds. I have yet to try to land on one though. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |

It does what it advertises, and even off the coast of Milwaukee I saw some ships (although also some "double ships" where one vessel was chasing an identical one - I guess I'll pretend those are tugs with barges. Zero performance impact that I can detect. And I'm of course wondering if we can create little traffic files for these ships to follow to add some missing ferry routes etc?

March 2Mar 2 But it could. My dream is a simple collaboration, the model library from GAIST but the rest from Global Shipping 24. I know it will never happen, but that would be all I need, because (for me) the only drawback of Global Shipping 24 is the comparably small variation in ships. Personally, I also do not need real-world schedules, even if it is nice and adds another immersion level, but as I anyway rarely fly "live", I am happy with the simple approach Global Shipping 24 took. March 2Mar 2 The Seafront package is very good. They also focuses on specific areas. Example: https://www.seafrontsims.com/vessels-the-greek-islands At $15 each, it adds up. MSFS
