Kind of like running FSLTL and AIG AI traffic addons together?? I thought of doing this the other day as even with this mod and GAIST it's still nowhere near the real amount of ships on the sea. So the more the merrier, will give it a go later and see if it works. December 13, 2025Dec 13 I used GAIST in 2020 and loved it, but this software is what I'm using in 2024 and very happy with it. Purchased through the Marketplace, it's incredibly easy to get started, although my original purchase through Contrail was problematic when I tried to upgrade. (By the way, the Seafront website offers a free Channel Islands Package.) It works offline, though I use it in Real Time mode, which covers most live traffic. Ferries and cruise ships are included, although my regular RoRo ferry across the Irish Sea looks nothing like it does in the sim.

So the base ships, ferries, ect in the sim are Asobo models? GAIST is a third-party addon. The author has done some great work, to be sure. However, as far as I know, if you don't install it, you will be using MSFS's default boats and ships. Rick Abshier 5900X | RTX 5070 Ti OC| 64 GB@3600 | India Pale Ale
December 13, 2025Dec 13 Questions for those who’ve purchased this - 1) Any sort of load in stutters at all when approaching ships and 2) What do the Great Lakes vessels actually look like? Very tempted by this purchase as in XP12 the vessels (that don’t even follow routes) add a fair amount of life. Thanks…
December 13, 2025Dec 13 On a side note, how well does GAIST run in MSFS 2024? This is a very important addon package for me, so I want it to run at least as well as it does in MSFS 2020 (with respect to number of vessels/routes, animation/wakes, and visibility at distance). Thanks… So I rented it from the marketplace and all of the vessels on the Great Lakes are just generic models, they didn't actully model and specific ships (American Spirit, Alpena etc) like the dev from GAIST did. They look good and the effects are cool but I don't know if Im going to buy it or not.
