The v2020 version should still be available. That’s what got me hooked in the first place.

SeaFront never worked in 2020 for me.

Ok I bit the bullet and bought it this evening;

  • Models are very nicely detailed
  • LODs changed quite a bit when getting closer from a few hundred feet away which on some ships looked a little odd
  • Larger ships visibility was about 15nm give or take a few nm (OLOD on 100 according to AutoFPS) which is pretty decent
  • Smaller ships popped into view from 5nm which is a bit pants (I may raise OLOD to see if that helps)
  • Good mod for those like me who fly anywhere & everywhere, but if you fly the same routes you'll see the same ships in the same locations as they always "start" in the same spot (as far as I could tell anyway), which may become a bit repetitive.
  • Overall it's cheap enough and a decent alternative to GAIST

Is the 2020 version working in 2024? I have quite a lot of their regional packs. I would be bummed if they are not going to work in 2024. I was thinking about finally letting 2020 go.

Wait for the upgrade.  Has something to do with SU4 I'm thinking.

Strange...

Never had an issue with the 4 or 5 packages I have...

I can't speak to everything they make, and I did wait until they were explicitly "approved" for v2024 (i bought through Orbx, which minds that pretty nicely for me 😉 ), but the former Global, Hawaiian Islands, et al, have been functioning in v2024 just fine for me since they became available via Orbx.

I'm downloading the 2024 global version from the MP right now.  It has already taken 2 minutes with 2 to go.  I can't stand it!    lol

I bought it earlier and I'm really impressed with it.

GAIST never properly worked for me in 2024 but this is a game changer. Because they found a way to inject it outside of the ship traffic slider, I now have nicely populated oceans with more ships than I've ever seen before in the sim. They're also visible from cruise altitude, which I was not able to achieve before.

I did a LCA-AMM earlier and had plenty of ships on departure and crossing the water. It was night and they were nicely illuminated with reflections off the water. After that I flew AMM-DOH and the approach into DOH was just like one would expect there with a high volume of ships all around.

I'm very pleased with this purchase - it has definitely plugged a gap for me!

Can someone explain what must be done to disable GAIST?  Do we just select NO for ships in in game settings?  This for MSFS 24.

I haven't changed any settings in MSFS. I just installed this from the Marketplace and it started working.

Hmm...I thought GAIST was part of base MSFS 24...I did not realize that you needed to download it.  So the base ships, ferries, ect in the sim are Asobo models?
