December 7, 2025Dec 7 From Seafront Simulations: "After months of development, we’re ready to reveal a re-engineered and refreshed Global Shipping experience for MSFS2024... Tens of thousands of ships. Over 15,000 you can land on. Global coverage. December 7, 2025Dec 7 Good news. Is there a date for the MP? dd Edited December 7, 2025Dec 7 by Sky_Pilot071
December 8, 2025Dec 8 I may keep this in mind as I like seeing ships & sea traffic, but I much prefer Live data where possible which makes GAIST my #1 choice. But it's good to have something else as an option. Pico Neo3 Link VR - Windows 11 64bit, Gigabyte Z590 Aorus Elite Mobo, i7-10700KF CPU, Gigabyte RX 9070 XT OC 16gb (AMD GPU), 32gig Corsair 3600mhz RAM, SSD x2 + M.2 SSD 1tb x1 Saitek X45 HOTAS - Saitek Pro Rudder Pedals - Logitech Flight Yoke - Homemade 3 Button & 8-directional Joystick Box, SNES Controller (used as a Button Box - Additional USB Numpad (used as a Button Box)
December 8, 2025Dec 8 Ehm, ok. So instead of buying separate packages for 10£ each, I get a global variant for 20£ now? What is the difference to e.g. "Vessels: The Balearic Islands"? Greetings, Chris AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, 2x32GB DDR5 6000MT/s RAM, MSI RTX 4090 Ventus 3X, Windows 11 Home, MSFS2024

December 8, 2025Dec 8 It looks like, but with GAIST in MSFS2024, I never got entirely happy. Reason: on my rig it somehow only really works when using the "live" option. Using the .bgl based traffic (e.g. "offline"), the amount of ship traffic is in many areas so low, you can hardly see the ships. And using "live" is sadly still heavily affected by MSFS bugs placing ships completely wrong resulting in an utterly nonsense ship traffic, e.g. 50m yachts on the lakes of Switzerland. So I would be definitively interested in this one here, if the comparison to GAIST reveals that you get more traffic using the offline option. December 8, 2025Dec 8 Every time I run GAIST in 2024 I get these yachts all over the Great Lakes. They’re like 150’ default FS yachets and it’s really an immersion killer. I wonder if I’d have that issue with this addon as well ? Ron Hamilton "95% is half the truth, but most of it is lies, but if you read half of what is written, you'll be okay." __ Honey Boo Boo's Mom
December 8, 2025Dec 8 This was a big success for me in FS20, I will definitely be getting this as this is my preferred option. Lee Lee H i9 13900KF 64GB Ram 24GB RTX 4090

What is the difference to e.g. "Vessels: The Balearic Islands"? Reading through this, it appears that the Global option is not the individual packages wrapped up. It says for instance local ferry systems, populated marinas and leisure traffic are part of their regional packs, so not a bargain buy, just an addition. December 8, 2025Dec 8 I think they need to clear up confusion.. So I buy this and then ALSO the regional packs? What's the difference? This one only does large ships and nothing else? Or the ships never come close to shore? This kind of pricing model always makes me walk away.. I understand that some people only fly in certain areas and so they can afford to buy addons for that area alone. But I like to go all over the world, so I prefer global addons, free or paid. No point buying a Baleric region and then never fly there. It looks interesting and is cheap-ish, so I'll wait for some reviews to see what it's really like. 9800X3d, 4090, 64 GB DDR5 6000 RAM, 4 TB NVME (2x2), 4K Ultra + Framegen
December 8, 2025Dec 8 I like both and use both GAIST and Seafront (haven't tried them in 2024 yet). I have both of them set to give a decent mix of boat and ship traffic without going overboard or impeding performance. ... I should also add that I haven't purchased any of the Seafront extra packages for enhancement of certain regions. I suppose if I flew into those specific regions/scenes often I might consider adding them, but for now I have their general package. Edited December 8, 2025Dec 8 by RandallR Randall Rocke
December 8, 2025Dec 8 Looks like cruise ships and ferry lines might not be included in this package, and would be a serious omission if one is looking for a global solution to a shipping addon. Ken
