December 9, 2025Dec 9 This problem was the very first thing I noticed, on my first try out of SU4 yesterday. The second was the fact that you can no longer remove the clouds from the main map / selection page. The performance from SU4 is fantastic but as they say, "there's no such thing as a free lunch". If the above 2 issues are permanent parts of SU4, I honestly wish I could return to SU3! No, it's both. I tried just about everything I have today, in all the places I usually fly in the UK and USA, morning, noon and night, rain and shine. Sometimes I'll think, wait that's not too bad, have they done something, and then I'll switch views again and it's there and very obvious. 9950X3D - X870E Aorus Master- TUF 5090 OC - 64GB DDR5 - 1500W HXi - Titan 360 RX LCD - 9100 Pro x 2 - LG 45GX950A - HOTAS Warthog with Ava Base

Performance is great, just as it was in SU3 for me, as long as you stay in the cockpit! In SU3 those transitions were flawless. I also kind of wish I could go back. 9950X3D - X870E Aorus Master- TUF 5090 OC - 64GB DDR5 - 1500W HXi - Titan 360 RX LCD - 9100 Pro x 2 - LG 45GX950A - HOTAS Warthog with Ava Base

Probably why it didn't show up in beta testing. If it is only a second delay well... dd Edited December 9, 2025Dec 9 by Sky_Pilot071

Apology Rob, nvngx_dlssg.dll and nvngx_dlss.dll (one is framegen with the dllsg. at the end...) At my PC local this location (C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\Microsoft.Limitless_1.6.32.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe) Or you could use the the app DLSS Swapper make sure to run at least 310.4 with the option always use the latest. Hope it's helpful Rob, André

Hope it's helpful Rob Thanks, and no problem. Thanks for trying to help. Unfortunately, bad news. I run DLSS with framegen exclusively and have been running 310.4 through the swapper since it came out. Perfect in SU3. In SU4 beta and final I have also tried with no framegen, and in TAA and FSR3 modes just ro see. It is exactly the same effect in all. When I switched back to SU3 all was good. (Can't do that any more now!) This leads me to believe it is nothing to do with any AA but a core sim issue on how it renders. I have spent hours on it. I think it is something Asobo need to look at now, simple as that. Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind). December 9, 2025Dec 9 Might be related to the performance improvements. They might be doing it so the sim doesn't render what you can't see. Edited December 9, 2025Dec 9 by Tuskin38

Maybe switches too quickly now as someone else suggested, and maybe needs a slight delay. Thing is, it used to switch quickly in SU3, and we didn't have this. I still think Asobo can fix it. It's like it flushes the cockpit rendering from memory and has to draw them in again. I’ve seen this in SU3 … but it’s usually very quick 1-2 seconds and not 100% repeatable so didn’t really care. I haven’t finished installing SU4 (300GB is a big update) so don’t have a reference. Based on the problem descriptions, it does sound likeSU4 is trying to optimize VRAM usage by swapping in/out textures. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. - Carl Sagan

I basically concur with your observations. I only ever saw it in a few steam gauge cockpits, and mainly the Carenado F33 and B55 for some reason, and although obvious to see, the instruments were much quicker to display than this issue with SU4. I managed to get a screenshot of the issue in SU4. In the Piper Dakota, the HSI first appears as a completely different 2D looking thing until the proper one draws in. It looks flat and like someone has drawn it on a piece of card - some kind of place holder it seems until the proper 3D gauge appears. Not sure if that helps to figure out what is going on. I had nothing like this in the Dakota in SU3. Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).
