Delayed rendering when switching views since SU4

.................but in another thread you said, effectively, this was God's gift to flight simulation.  By any metric, this has been an abortion from the outset.

  • Changing drivers, fiddling with bios settings etc is not the answer here folks, it's a regression that needs to be fixed on Asobos side. You'll only go down a rabbit hole wasting your time with n

  • Because it's not always obvious, obviously--as shown in my post above I don't have it at all.  A poll might be interesting to see how widespread it is.

  • I wonder there is an easy fix from Asobo: instead of showing delayed rendering, Asobo could delay the transition by a fraction of second to allow the pre-rendering of the new scene, then switch over.

Oh it still is, effectively. Thanks for the valuable input though.

I am noticing that with the same configuration before SU4 a notable reduction in texture definition on all scenarios both on the ground and in flight except the textures of the pay or default airport areas which are all displayed correctly.

Same for me. Let's hope they fix this

AMD Ryzen™ 9 9900X3D, AM5, Zen 5, 12 Core, 24 Threads, 4.4GHz, 5.5GHz Turbo
64GB (2x32GB) DDR5 6000MHz Corsair Vengeance
32GB GeForce® RTX 5090 Graphics Card

I dived into the SU4 beta when people were raving about the performance and night lighting, and had issue this straight away in the Piper Dakota, about release number 3 of the beta if I recall correctly.  I have dived in and out of the beta about four times hoping it was fixed.  No joy.  I am shocked and disappointed it has been released like this and hope Asobo can find a fix soon.

I dived into the various threads in the official forum and voted.
Funny how Asobo ask for steps to reproduce - how about just go fly one of your own planes for heavens sake - it is that easy!

One problem was people belittling this issue like you see above "tis only a split second" etc. or the usual "fix your rig" from the usual clowns.

I highlighted it to one guy in his own video, and the guy said it only shows on YouTube, it is the recording software causing it, and he doesn't see it in sim!
His recording software must have its own graphics engine then when it draws the plane, then the instruments separately.

Now we all have to contend with this issue.  All these denials or people belittling the issue don't do anybody any good in the long run.

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

While it is bitterly disappointing for SU4 to be released like this, MSFS is still the best we have.

Asobo have caused this issue with something they have changed, so hopefully they know how to reverse it and fix it... hopefully!

9950X3D / 64GB / RTX5090 / Pimax Crystal Light / Win11

Did a six hour flight yesterday and did about 100 cockpit / external switches.  No delays.  What are you all flying and where?

Also, I use a button on my XBOX controller to switch.

The HJET doesn't have the problem and I fly in Canada, Alaska and the Western US.

I don't really fly aircraft with screens, so from what I have seen up to now it might only be aircraft with 'steam' gauges, or analogue gauges basically.

Hello André.  Sorry - what do you mean by DLL?  I will check when I know where to look.
