400,000-download Christmas gift = 400,000 thank you!

I just wanted to share with you the pleasure to have surpassed 400,000 downloads on flightsim.to for my airport freeware sceneries.

Looking back, it’s been quite a journey. It all started with my first upload of San Diego Montgomery-Field (KMYF), on January 8, 2021. It was just a mod to fix taxiway names 😉 Then, followed something like 20 different small airfield, all choosen because of my real log book and the lack of detail in default MSFS scenery. 300,000 mark was crossed in November last year, and seeing another 100,000 downloads added in just 13 months is the best Christmas present an amateur creator could ask for. If you don' know my love for GA airport (mostly in California and some airports in France), please check out my full catalog 😉 : https://flightsim.to/profile/vbazillio

I’ll be the first to admit I haven’t produced brand-new scenery this year due to a lack of time - and the skill required for those massive hubs! - so this milestone is truly a testament to you. It represents the many simmers who continue to use and benefit from the constant updates and refinements I’ve made, mostly based on the feedback, pictures, and videos you share with me.

A huge thank you to:
  • Supporters: To everyone, here at Avsim, who has downloaded my work, share feedback or sent a donation via BuyMeACoffee or PayPal. Your generosity - especially during the holidays - is deeply appreciated and helps keep the lights on at these virtual airports.
  • The Community & Creators: For the shared assets (special thanks to Bullfrogsim, Cli4D, Bishopofwings, Romain Broquet, and Helijah) and the tips that make this hobby so special. Shall I remind the incredible richness of our community?

Wishing you all a wonderful holiday season, a very Merry Christmas!

Your work on flight sim scenery is truly amazing @vbazillio Vincent. I almost always pick airports you have worked on to fly out of when starting a GA flight in MSFS2024. Thank YOU for all of your hard work and Happy Holidays from Colorado!

I echo all the sentiments posted. Living in SoCal, I have flown in the San Diego area for many years. Your work brings back very pleasant memories.
