January 19Jan 19 I am not using MSFS 2020 at all. I am all in on MSFS 2024. If you are in the same situation, did you delete MSFS 2020? Will I regret deleting it? Do I need this legacy simulator on my system for nostalgic revists in the future?? What did you do? How much space did you free up on your HD? January 19Jan 19 I haven't deleted base install but gradually deleted addons from 2020 as i have been able to transfer addons into 2024. Will eventually delete the 2020 install fully Edited January 19Jan 19 by MPL Mikael Leinonen
January 19Jan 19 Yup mine has been gone for a while.  I hadn’t flown it in months so no sense having it take up HD space. I do have a fake install and kept my community folder though to gradually move addons over. January 20Jan 20 Yes, I did it, 2 weeks ago. For the same of SSD space. And so far, I haven't regret it. 😀
January 20Jan 20 Have plenty of space so didn’t uninstall it for a while, but I think I totally stopped using it after SU3. Deleted it sometime later. I did do the fake community folder thing for some time for various installers, but all my addons are now updated to 2024 so I don’t need to do that anymore. 9800X3d, 4090, 64 GB DDR5 6000 RAM, 4 TB NVME (2x2), 4K Ultra + Framegen

No, if you’re asking about the fake community folder, you have to create the usercfg.ini file in the default location (no need for any other files). Google it, there are guides. 9800X3d, 4090, 64 GB DDR5 6000 RAM, 4 TB NVME (2x2), 4K Ultra + Framegen
January 20Jan 20 Got MSFS2024 on Day 2...Nov. 20, 2024. MSFS2020 was already deleted in advance...on Nov. 19...sometime during that (traumatic) first day of chaos...🙂... No regrets and no nostalgia...won some and lost some...in the process...
