Why don't you ask "What's your top 5 or 10". There are too many favs I use and can't pick one.

BAE 146 by a mile. I'm obsessed w/ this plane to the point where:
1. I haven't flown another airliner in over 2 years

2. I bought the book "Fighting To Be Heard: How the British Aerospace 146 Started the Regional Jet Revolution"

3. I bought a second copy of that book and just so I could have the cover framed and mounted because I love the artwork/photos

4. I started scale modeling so I can build and paint the Revell BAE 146 w/ the Air UK decals. My first model is a TBF-1 for practice and I've actually come to realize I'm going to love doing this as a hobby

Well, I don’t have a lot of them, and I’m a rather casual airliner guy, and I come from a family of Boeing pilots, soooo…. 😉

Which is a long way of saying my primary airliner is the PMDG 738 2024. It may not be the most popular or “the best”, but after many years and a couple sims, I’m comfortable with it. 🤙

My second choice is the BAe 146. A tiny bit of IRL pax nostalgia, but mostly because it’s such an atypical design and definitely an old school pleasure/challenge to fly.

There’s so many Default Airbuses available with the sim I kinda can’t bring myself to buy one. Esp since I’m rather fond of the funky cool A400, anyway.

Ha - GREAT choice!

I went the opposite way - built dozens upon dozens of models back in the day.

Fantastic (but expensive) way to learn about history, etc.

My career kinda killed it, but still time well spent.

Tried it again to give my boys exposure, but they were never interested (thanks, Apple! 😬).

then I discovered flight sim not too long afterwards (about 8-ish years ago), and I went for it hook, line, and sinker.

for me, it’s everything the models were, but also an opportunity to learn so much more. 😁🤙

It's funny, I tried models as a kid but never got into them much. As a 40-year old now I appreciate more working w/ my hands and being patient with the process and small details. I'm looking at starting to work w/ model trains, as well. I guess it also helps that I have expendable income now 😉

Of course, I still won't give up simming! (or other computer games, for that matter)

The thing for me is that every time a new Airliner is released, both as a total new or an upgrade to what we had in MSFS2020, I always got back to the Fenix A320.

The reason is that it is still the most finished and complete Airliner in MSFS2024.

Everything just works, Sayintentions CPDLC/AOC, GSX (fully automatic - no micromanagement), and stability wise it's just rock solid - no WASM crashes or the like.

It's supposed to be difficult to pick one. 😄 But that way we get a clear metric on what people view as their favourite airliner addon right now.  Polls can't do prioritisation, so if everyone picked 5 options, it wouldn't tell us which is most popular right now. (In fact it wouldn't tell us anything).

Very interesting results so far!

It's quite astonishing that, with so many options, the Fenix is pulling just short of 50% of the votes!

I had thought that the PMDG 737 and Fenix would be broadly neck and neck - but that's not the case!

Voted for the PMDG 737. Right now it's my fave airliner.

I suspect it's still the novelty factor at work here as I haven't had the chance to fly it since I deleted 2020.

When the DC-6 is made compatible with 2024 I have no doubt that will become my number one for similar reasons.

I started with the first vote for the iniBuilds A343...🙂... It performs well for me, and I am enjoying it a lot. After all, it's currently the only and primary, decent-fidelity Airbus quadjet airliner available for MSFS2024.

The A343 is flying below, on a 6,000 miles flight from EDDF/Frankfurt to VHHH/Hong Kong...

Right now Fenix is just miles ahead with immersion and the time they have taken to really take advantage of what 2024 can do. As a result it is a joy to fly.
