Very mature and intelligent. I use FSRealistic Pro, so I have most of the effects you refer to. 😄 I just don't need to waste $70 buying Chaseplane and FSR+plus Pro++ 😊 I'm getting strong 'Island Sim Pilot' vibes here.... Hi Mate, Works great with TrackIR. Been using it with TIR for sometime now and works fine. Jase
February 4Feb 4 Is it me or does FSRealistic+ take a chunk of FPS? I compared flying with and without FSRealistic (IFR flight from ENKB to EHGG in a Flysimware C414AW). Results: 60 without FSRealistic+; 45-55 fps with FSRealistic+. It's still OK by me, but still. Jan

I've done the upgrade through Just Flight which seemed to go OK, rebooted the PC, booted up MSFS2024 but no sign of FSRealistic. I've checked the Task Manager and the FSRealistic+ and FSRealisticWatcher programs are both running. I'm clearly missing something or done something silly - any ideas what that might be? Well life is full of bits of good news and bad news The reason that I hadn't used FSRealistic Pro much in the last year or so was that I had a full disc crash back then and basically had to reload everything. And I never got round to reloading FSRealistic Pro. - The bad news was that, having seen the headlines about the '+' version, I just downloaded the discounted '+' through Just Flight with very little research to exactly what the difference was...including missing the fact that you have to buy Chaseplane (which I don't want or need) to get it to work and that it doesn't work in VR anyway (which is the only way I use the sim) - The good news is that the above prompted me to finally reload FSRealistic Pro. And it's GREAT. It is particularly good in MSFS2024 in VR after the recent nVidia/DLSS upgrades. February 4Feb 4 Curious to see how this works for GA only flyers? I'm not familiar with the older version or this one. I'll try the demo to see. Obviously it doesn't make sense to have cabin noises or toilets flushing in a Beech Baron. Is the program smart enough to play appropriate things for the airplane or do you have to configure it all? Just wondering if this is mostly catered to airliners. I did see there's a clear prop sound so there's something. ------------------------- Craig from KBUF
February 4Feb 4 The success of MSFS brings with it a new way to squeeze money out of me every day.🤣🙄 Not in this case – for me, what's offered has nothing to do with realism, and the Chaseplane integration seems like a gimmick. Besides that, 30 USD is steep for kinda 'sample player+' So I'll stick with Chaseplane 'pure and bare'. FSR had all the right noises set! Matthew Maclauchlan
February 4Feb 4 My problem was resolved very professionally by someone from RkApp. Two hours of work, many emails, a new version and finally it works for me. I'm happy.
February 5Feb 5 Initial impressions after a couple of hours. Plenty of effects, most of which seem useful for miljet, heli and GA flying. Other options are better as well. Some downgrading has occurred in amount of actual sounds, for example FSR had 10 rumbles, 7 ground fxs / winds, 13 touchdowns, 13 shakes and 5 taxis. I really enjoyed the airfield ambience fx in last version, now it is gone. https://www.youtube.com/user/JustaRandomSimmer Simulator Videos http://sierra-hotel.blogspot.com Aviation Picture Blog
February 5Feb 5 Tried the 7 day trial, none of the physics worked, only the sounds did. Yes it was installed in msfs 2024 comm folder. Edited February 5Feb 5 by SN737 SN737

I assume you have ChasePlane installed? The physics worked for me with the 7 day demo (I landed a heli hard and it definitely let me know as my view slammed forward). I'll probably end up buying this once the demo is up. Some of the sounds seem too much for GA but I turned a bunch off. ------------------------- Craig from KBUF

Default GA profile is called 'piston' and works great. within each profile, individual effects (sound and camera movement) can be turned on/off and tuned to your preference. Not sure, I never fly airliners myself, the effect is very noticeable with GA aircraft and helicopters. It is actually one of the big features selling me on it. I landed the Blacksquare Bonanza a little firm (nothing crazy) and got a pretty decent bounce. All that motion is configurable too, so maybe they have it turned way down for airliners? ------------------------- Craig from KBUF
February 21Feb 21 I have used fsrealistic, then upgraded to the pro. I only fly in vr now, and I have heard that fsrealistic plus doesn't work in vr, so until it does I won't be upgrading especially as I would have to buy chaseplane as well. <p> Paul Sleight
