would be nice to see more smaller GA aircraft. Mostly what I'm seeing is airliners. Guess everyone wants to be an airline pilot.

You mean...pretend and wannabe airline pilots...🙂...

I too like GA a/c myself a lot, small or big...

GA only here but I am strangely and uncharacteristically tempted by the 737-600. I wouldn't fly it as an airline pilot though 😉

I wish I could read it in English. I'll see if I can convert it. I should have taken a few courses in College in German language. I was told it is similar to English...Oh well...

In all my flying with Lufthansa, I was always grateful, when those cabin announcements in English came right after the German language announcements.

Yes we're kinda like pretend and wannabe GA pilots.

With due respect for the RW pilots who are around here...

My best memory is publishing my pretend pilot (747) flight images in the Screenshots Forum years ago, and there was a RW 744/748 pilot around there, who would always add a comment, "Nice shots..."

I'm quite sure he was (quietly; possibly with a chuckle) ignoring the umpteen things not right in my images...🙂...

The latest update from PMDG......

PMDG DC-6 for MSFS 2020/2024: For our 2020 customers, we moved DC-6 into Operations Center 3.0, so you should find her there. For our 2024 customers, the DC-6 has been rather ingloriously on ice, waiting for the darned 737 to get out of the work slot so that we can attach some modeling development assets to the project. We anticipate this happening once 737 is out the door. The move to bring DC-6 into 2024 is not a rebuild, like the other projects, but a port. The model did get reconfigured to make it work within the confines of the 2024 SDK and that created some drama. We needed an SU from Asobo to be able to fix it and by the time that arrived the dev assets were deep into other work. Won't be long now, your patience is appreciated. (This is my favorite PMDG product, btw- so I'm eager to have her done in 2024 as well!)

Great! many thanks for finding me the news regarding the future of the PMDG DC-6 for MSFS2024. If this plane is a PMDG's fav, then I'm sure will be ported.

Would be really nice to finally have some decent soviet planes in the sim.

- (Ablomis) Tupolev tu-154M (really really hope that it isn't abandoned...)

-  (Digital Aeronautics) Mil Mi-2

- (OctopusGRS) maybe an Ilyuschin Il-14

I've seen so many sim projects die that I'm not hoping for anything at this point but still check the news from time to time

TU 154M would be great !

cheers 😉

You can simply copy the text and paste it into a translation program, or if your browser has an AI component, enter it there and have it translated; I often do that with English texts.

Thanks. Indeed, one can...below text is via the Google Translator (subject to any syntactic or grammatical inaccuracies, introduced, in the process of translation):

New Information on the Aero Dynamics DC-10
Aero Dynamics posted the following press release on Discord:

Good afternoon, everyone,

we are very pleased to share a long overdue, but extremely positive, update on the status of our projects.

The DC-10-30 and KC-10 remain fully active and are our primary long-term commitment.

They have never been canceled, paused, or downgraded. Our DC-10 project will be released as originally promised, and we are currently making faster and more consistent progress than ever before.

For context: Developing a true "study-level" three-payload computer with a small part-time team repeatedly led to cycles where we completed systems, then discovered significantly better or more accurate implementations and subsequently redesigned them completely. While this resulted in exceptional accuracy, it also drained a tremendous amount of momentum and jeopardized the entire project through exhaustion.

At the beginning of this year, we made a strategic decision: to temporarily pause the parallel development of all DC-10 systems and focus the team on a smaller, clearly defined aircraft. The explicit goal was to resolve the architectural, tool-related, and workflow-related challenges that were preventing us from proving each solution in a released product and then directly transferring these robust systems to the trijet.

This decision has proven transformative.

... Over the past seven months, we have refined and implemented the following features for production:

  • Deep integration with the MSFS 2024 systems and Navigraph Navdata
  • Scalable LVAR and shared-memory architecture
  • Clean, maintainable WASM modules that remain readable even with airliner complexity
  • Physically accurate instrument and gyro modeling
  • A complete end-to-end development pipeline that can easily handle multi-year projects
  • Robust multi-variant management
  • Foundations for future advanced features of complex airliners

All these solutions are now being integrated into the DC-10/KC-10 code.

Important platform announcement:

The DC-10-30 and KC-10 are being developed and released exclusively for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.

After careful consideration, parallel active development for MSFS 2020 and 2024 would split our very small team resources, significantly slow progress, and ultimately jeopardize the quality and depth we have promised.

The architectural improvements in MSFS 2024 (particularly in Sim Attachments, memory management, and WASM performance) are crucial to delivering a true "study-level" 3-digit payload with fully interactive systems, accurate flight physics, and the expected level of detail.

Focusing on a single, modern platform is the only realistic way to complete and support the aircraft long-term.

Bluebird 757 should not be expected this year

I've always wanted a good IL-76. 👍

Or at least something with the navigator's glazed nose - much better than the wing view 😉

if you paste the url into your browser, it should auto prompt you for a translation to english. For sure Chrome will do it, too.

ETA: i see i was late to the auto-translation advice 😉

Given you describe yourself as a “Virtual Concorde Pilot” I’m surprised you didn’t list her.
