Hi pmplayer:

I too remain keenly interested in this one.

See above in the 2nd post from top: Aero Dynamics DC-10 is listed.

I just now looked around a bit, and found a DEV update from Dec. 3, 2025, as below:

"Aero Dynamics has published a new development update on its McDonnell Douglas DC-10-30 and KC-10 projects for Microsoft Flight Simulator, the first major communication since March 2024. The team states clearly that both aircraft remain in active development and that work is now moving forward more steadily than at any previous stage."

Please note that it will be MSFS2024-exclusive, as I know, so far.

Considering how well their T-38 “dev mule” turned out, I’ve become fairly interested in the (K)DC-10, too.

Thank you 👍, found this but side is in German https://www.simflight.de/2025/12/05/neue-informationen-zur-aero-dynamics-dc-10/

And yes its exclusiv planned for MSFS2024 and I think I'll be switching to 2024 at the end of this year, and I hope we'll at least have SU7 ( or possible SU8 ) by then, that would satisfy me.

So most critcal bugs and other more heavy Issues will be much better than, that at least is my hope..

cheers 😉

Well, Ryan beat me to the Taogs Dauphin 😁. I’ll just add their next-next has been announced to be the Sea King! But that’s likely a ‘27-‘28 thing.

Top Mach has been working on a v2 paid upgrade of their F-22. Based on their recent YF-23 release, it should be a genuinely good addon.

MilTech has had a U-2 in the pipeline for awhile and they report it’s getting “close”

perhaps the BBS UH-1H - it’s been in development for years…

BBS also has an F-16C that’s looking close-ish

(and FWIW, the IFE/HB F-16A is still somewhere out there - could be great if they CFD it).

Just Flight Tornado has been baking for awhile - and now that their mainstream addons are 2024 native, I’m definitely looking forward to this one “soon” 😎

Flying Fries Mi-24 Hind is scheduled for ‘26. Their XF-11 is pretty good, so there’s hope for this big hoss…

Previously mentioned, but my most anticipated fixed wing is the FSR Phenom.
And I hope they’ll upgrade the FSR500 to 2024 standards. Paid works for me 👍

First of all, it's good that you are considering the switch to MSFS2024...🙂...hopefully, just in time to fly the (MSFS2024-Exclusive) DC-10.

BTW, I know you cannot wait to fly the DC-10 in the (old) colors of Lufthansa, the iconic yellow circle with the blue crane logo. To me too, that livery always meant Lufthansa...🙂...

I was probably among the last passengers on LH's DC-10s; flew annually with them in the 90s, on (Chicago<->Frankfurt) and (Frankfurt<->East/Far-east) legs; before their DC-10s were retired. I plead ignorance (of my pre-hobby era), but frankly I thought they were MD-11s... (after all, 3 engines on each type...🙂...), before I found out that LH never operated any MD-11s.

LH operated 12 DC-10-30s, between 1989 and 1996.

Cheers...!

Is that even in the works?  I haven't been following it too closely, but I haven't heard anything either.
