    Oh grow up.

  • Many people mention, how smooth the performance with the Aero A340 is. Even on big airports (main destinations for the 600). I guess the performance was one main reason, they don't use high res text

The guy in that video needs glasses. The difference is quite large in favour of the IniBuilds where texturing is concerned. I immediately noticed it when i loaded the A346, it feels "X-Plane-ish" whil

'Hello All:

Finally got around to installing the airplane into FS2020.  I'm having an issue where I can't always zoom in/out while in the cockpit.  I try resetting my view, I try to hold down the keyboard "-" and "+" keys.

Sometimes I get stuck when I zoom into the FMCG and can't un-zoom or reset to go back to a normal view.

Any tips?  Thanks much!

I assume that the zoom keys work fine in any other aircraft?

Yes.  No issues with other airplanes.

This airplane is terrible.  Aerosoft has struck again.  I should have listed to my gut, so regretting this purchase.  I'm officially adding Toliss to my boycott list.  They should have NEVER partnered with Aersoft.

What exactly is terrible?

Yes, being specific is of good help, no product is perfect, I also had issues with this product in the beginning, and a nasty one, my activation ceased to work so I wasn't able to use the product, I asked in forums for help, I sent tickets and the help came, now I can use the product again, venting is good with a clear purpose.

Do you guys know how to un-pause after pause at TOD?

No. I don't use that function, I use the jump ahead feature instead and don't let my computer run for 9 hours. 😉

Having Pause at TOD enabled is very helpful even if you don't run your computer for 9 hours (although I do frequently).  You can be on a two hour flight and be away for your PC and get back only to find that your aircraft has passed TOD and is now well above the Vnav profile - you may be able to retrieve things but it will be a pain to do so.  So if there is some trick to unpausing at TOD for the A340-600 I would also like to be informed as well.

-Cockpit textures are cheap.

-EFB is overly complicated.  Some of the selectable options are so small, its actually hard to difficult to make changes.  You accidently click/select options you don't intend.

-EFB is sluggish.  You'll click an option and it takes a while to respond.

-EFB keeps deleting my Navigrpah user info so I have to input it again and again.

-When I start the sim, airplane nose is in the ground up to cockpit windows.  I have to apply some power for the airplane to go back onto its nose wheel.

-Having trouble zooming/un-zooming in the cockpit.

-Pause at TOD works, but can't un-pause.  I had to exit the sim twice now.

-Issue with FMGC calculating extra fuel.

-One flight I had to restart because EFB was loading an old flight plan from another flight.  Couldn't get it to uplink the correct/current flight.

-I've tried 3 different flights but can't tell you how the thing lands because something always goes wrong.

I've not used the feature myself, but this thread on the Aerosoft forum mentions that MSFS has an "unpause" function that is usually not assigned to a key. Try assigning that.

Alternatively, they mention this second option:

just above where you set the auto pause in the EFB there are 2 buttons, one of them will be lit up, click on it and you will unpause.

I've removed the claims that could actually be bugs from your list above.

The ones left above are entirely, subjective opinions, user errors or misunderstandings.  You can't realistically blame the product for these....

  • I find the EFB very intuitive. One row of the tabs are sim-related options, and the other are aircraft-related options.
  • To unpause the sim after TOD, there is a button there - illuminated. Just press it. Or, you can assign a key to the 'Unpause' command in MSFS (can't remember it's exact name, but it's in there).
  • Zooming - don't know what you have going on there but for me (and I suspect everyone else) zooming works just fine.
  • "The EFB was loading an old flight plan" - all this means is that you either didn't fully generate your new plan, or else you just needed to refresh the Simbrief FP in the EFB.

It's by no means a perfect product and there is room for a fair amount of improvement.  But getting frustrated because of issues you have at your end, doesn't mean it's "terrible".

Well that's on you then. It's the heavy aircraft I managed to get the most landings out of in the shortest amount of days because after reaching the cruise altitude I simply skip ahead to the last waypoint before TOD, then put the thing in 4x accelleration until I reach 10.000ft.

Makes it possible to get to the landing in less than in hour of sim time. I would be able to do more if I used the situation save function and simply saved a final approach for practice reasons.

Complaining about a complicated EFB just tells me that you expect add ons to be so intuitive these days that reading a manual is not necessary and didn't read it.

Because if you had, you'd know how to unpause and how to find all the settings and how everything works.

So instead of calling an add-on terrible, maybe you should do your homework first learn how to use it with the help of the manual.
