Rhodiumcode: New A350 coming, Trailer May 3rd 0500z

Featured Replies

To be fair I am not surprised people are sceptical of Rhodiumcode. The only other game they seem to be (was?) working on which was started back in 2021, City Rhapsody (Low poly city builder type game), is supposedly coming to early access soonTM.

How they transitioned to flight sim, who knows.

System 1: AMD Ryzen 9 5950X @ 4.2GHz, 2x16GB DDR4 2600MHz CL18 RAM, EVGA RTX 3090 FTW, Samsung 840 Pro SSD 1TB, Samsung 840 Pro SSD 512GB, Seagate 2TB HDD, Windows 11 Pro 64bit, Thrustmaster Hotas Warthog.

System 2: AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D @ 5.7GHz, 2 x 32GB DDR5 6000MHz CL30 RAM, ASUS ROG ASTRAL RTX5090 OC, 2 x 4TB Lexar NM790 M.2 PCIe 4.0, Crucial T705 2TB Gen5 M.2, Samsung 840 Pro SSD 1TB, Moza AB9 with Thrustmaster Hotas Warthog Flight Stick, Winwing Orion Rudder Pedals, Thrustmaster Hotas Warthog Throttle Quadrant.

I hope this pans out. I was really disappointed to see Fenix almost made a 350 but stopped when ini announced theirs. It just doesn’t live up to the hype they created around it.

If this new one is really high quality I’m interested.
Oh, and please, please give us the option to use sim rate above 4x! I don’t get why PMDG have been able offer 16x working perfectly for decades and yet ini claim “it’s not stable above 4x” when I can use the default sim shortcut to fly at 8x and 16x no issue, other than fuel burn being off. I fly real routes but just don’t have the time to spend 3 hours on a long haul in the evening when crossing mostly ocean.

The reason is because PMDG doesn't hog all of your memory, ini 350 does.

Any new development for MSFS is great in my book! Just have to wait and see what it's like when released.

I would be very interested in what they have to offer. I have no need for a second A350, very happy with the Ini version. But who knows until they release it. Wish them all the best.

iniBuilds just doesn’t feel like there is much depth to the systems unfortunately. So I think the community should not write off new development teams. How about we all just adopt the wait and see and not write off news devs. Such a negativity always when someone new announces something out of blue. Let’s wait and see.

Personally, I’m happy about it. I don’t really understand the criticism—more choice is simply better for the community. If this new developer does better, that’s a win for everyone; if they do worse, it’s worse for them—not a problem for customers.

PS: if Fenix ever revisited the idea of doing an A350 at the same level as their A320 family, I’d be the happiest simmer around.

That was my thought.  The INI A350 is certainly good enough for my needs (and I expect most people’s needs).  What we’re really missing in the Airbus world is a decent A330.

Judging by this being in development for 3 years and the ini A350 only coming out about a year ago, it's a bit difficult to just scrap everything you've worked on. Also Rhodium may feel they can offer USPs over what ini is offering. We only can wait and see.

What is "USPs"?

"Unique selling points" - things that only their product offers.
