All good things come to end.  I LOVED the simplicity of FSLTL.  I just liked when I was moving around an airport there was eye candy.  Disappointing the fate of this program.  I knew things at FR24 we

Indeed, it is about the money --> people expecting to get paid for their work and effort. How dare they! Get a subscription to RealTraffic --> --> problem solved!

So, over the last couple of days I've completely switched up my set-up. Bye bye, FSTL, and hello AIG + PSXT + RealTraffic.  Have to say, I'm impressed.  Yeah, RealTraffic costs money. I

I used (and loved) the 2020 version of this.   With the 2024 version, I've spent hours and hours trying to get it working (at least 10 install attempts) and just do not get any traffic from it.

I'm;

  • Disabling the default models using "Corsten's One Click Disabler)
  • Putting the GAMod folders into Community, as instructed
  • Setting the AI OFFLINE and traffic settings in 2024 exactly as requested.

Yet, I can go to any airport in the world, small, medium or large, and absolutely no traffic appears.

There are a number of others in the comments on FS.TO who seem to have the same problem.

I see there is a Discord for this Mod and a few others that Corsten has done. When you ran the disabler did you see the script was able to disable the various things that need to be disabled and then enable the mod itself.

I was lucky my installation ran first time. I just waited a couple of minutes and there are lots of GA planes. I then started the AIG Traffic Injector and that worked on top so all good. You must persevere as its a great mod. I would say post in the discord as well. 🙂

Yeah, RealTraffic costs money. I took out a 1-month license to see if I like it enough to subscribe for a year, or so.

I'm using FSLTL with the settings I posted earlier, I see plenty of aircraft in the skies and on the Flight Planner Map on the EFB (as well as in LNM). But the G1000 unit just shows two aircraft or none at all....why is it that's not showing all the aircraft?

Are you making believe that the FSLTL Injector is not working?

The Injector always showed lots of airplanes in the G1000 when I was using it.

With AIG & TC I see some traffic on the G1000.

I'm soon going to try disabling default models and use realtime setting without the AIGTC. The one thing I do not like about the default real-time setting is that parked aircraft disappear as you climb away from the airport. Terrible!

Ricardo,

How is the default ATC working with PSXT + RealTaffic?

If I were to consider a sub, I'd probably opt for SI. The ATC sounds very good for vfr/ifr but I've read that there are still some issues with SI.

I once tried AIG but it takes a while to install and I was never sure if I had done evrything right... Too many details like having to use a password from AVSIM Library and updating schedules and .... I reverted to the FSLTL models.

Also with BATC I don't have to use an external injector, while when I used FSHUD it had to rely on FSLTL to make the injection.

AIG really isn't that difficult - you may have tried it long ago, but the AIM is now very good and virtually does everything for you. The initial install may take a while, but once that's done keeping things up to date is simple. AVSIM is being used less and less with AIG because the library seems to cause too many problems.

FSHud doesn't need to use an external injector if you use AIG or MSFS live traffic.

I don't use default ATC. I use BATC or FSHud. None of which seems to recognize the traffic injected by Real Traffic via PSTX.

PSXT is controlled by real world ATC. Neither default ATC, BATC nor FSHud have any influence on it, which is one of the reasons I would never touch it.

I agree. I want to see the airplanes around, but also hear ATC controlling them. That's why SI, could be the bridge between now and when BATC releases full vfr support.

yes everything is working as expected, I've noticed this before with the G1000 it doesn't show all and sometimes very few/none of the aircraft that are actually in the skies and it bugs me as to why that is.

@ConsVoid, thank you for the info, and I will probably give AIG a try again one of these days.

Today after a long while without using it, I tried default MSFS 2024 ATC and Real World Traffic injection. I had the FSLTL 1k models in the Community folder so I guess the models used were those, and I did notice a lot less hammering of my GPU which is only 8GB. The overall experience in a Madrid - Lisboa A320 flight was acceptable.

I really don't have used FSHUD for quite a while because I really like BATC.

Have you gone to a busy airport yet and watched the departure line up actually work and not just cause a massive mess because the default ATC has no idea what it's doing or how to move traffic? I watch for 5 mins with any of the others and I have to turn it off, my ATC ocd goes nuts.

With PSXT , although in some countries only, you can listen to live ATC, and really hear how the professional controllers work with the aircraft around you.

I have turned off default ATC.
