May 23May 23 Thanks Ryan, I started on the runway with the engine running so I think everything should be turned on by default. I did flick the switches but nothing came on… so I took off and did a circuit anyway!Turned the PC off for tonight so I’ll see what happens tomorrow, other than that if felt nice in the air.All working here, but I've not tried a "start on the runway" flight with it, as setting it up is so much fun 😊The avionics switch is a small blue switch right in front of the pilot, on the panel. The other one, on the right of it is the Emergency bus switch and should be left off. Check the maintenance page in the EFB too, for failures. Failures can be turned off on the main first page of the EFB too. The EFB is accessible through the standard EFB (like the A2As are now too).Good luck. May 23May 23 You guessed it - v.0.1.6The turbo version now uses the newer built-in Asobo turbo mixture and engine behavior instead of our previous WASM-based mixture control.G3X manifold pressure display ranges have been updated for improved real-world accuracy on both the normally aspirated and turbocharged versions. The turbo fuel gallons-per-hour display has been updated for improved accuracy on the engine display. The backup G5 airspeed tape markings now better match the main G3X airspeed tape. The backup G5 now uses a separate altimeter source from the main G3X system, allowing the G5 baro setting to be adjusted independently.A clickable headset has been added to the pilot seat. It can enable or disable the headset audio filter, and this can still be controlled from the EFB as well.GPU availability logic has been improved so the GPU can be used in more locations when the aircraft is on the ground, parking brake is set, engine is off, and the battery switch is on.Several sounds were improved, including speed brake, landing gear, emergency gear extension, and GPU sounds for both interior and exterior views.Additional flight dynamics refinements were completed with the real-world pilot, including AOA scale updates, spoiler drag and lift tuning, propeller beta value updates, and EFB weight and balance display refinements.Several bugs were fixed, including the entry decal / Shift + C interaction issue, oil cooler lever direction, and incorrect EFB failure MTBF timing values. 9950X3D - X870E Aorus Master- TUF 5090 OC - 64GB DDR5 - 1500W HXi - Titan 360 RX LCD - 9100 Pro x 2 - LG 45GX950A - HOTAS Warthog with Ava Base
May 23May 23 The turbo version now uses the newer built-in Asobo turbo mixture and engine behavior instead of our previous WASM-based mixture control.Wait, what!? Has Asobo finally fixed the mixture issues in turbo-charged piston planes - something that's been wrong in MS products simply, well, forever? Is the mixture behavior in this plane actually correct using it? And tangentially, does this fix work with existing (and incorrect) turbo-charged planes which use the default model automagically or is there something developers need to do in order to implement it?Been on the fence on this one, mostly on the not-buy side in fact, due to the beta, the early less than stellar flight model reports and the delayed analog version - and to be honest due to being temporarily fixated on the Phenom. I'd pretty much resigned myself to waiting for the A2A Lancair, but my interest is slowly starting to re-build.Scott

I'd pretty much resigned myself to waiting for the A2A Lancair, but my interest is slowly starting to re-build.It's now a fantastic, immersive, high quality addon. It's had 6 updates since release, and they've been major.I think anyone who loves fast GA and hasn't bought this, is missing out. That's just my opinion. I was very critical of the release version. May 23May 23 Updated the legacy, uninstalled and disabled the Phenom to see if that was the issue.Still nothing on any LCD/TFT screen , strange the avionics are on as the bevel lights on the PFD come on with the avionics switch but the screen remains blank.I’ll sit and wait for the analog panel I think. 787 captain. There are so many features, failures and maintenance aspects to this addon, that it may be that something has been missed with the runway.flt file configuration. Would be useful to try a cold and dark start on the apron, then hit the battery switch and the blue avionics master button. May 24May 24 Lancair Legacy 2024 v0.1.7==============Updates:1. The turbocharged engine mixture system has been completely reworked. In version 0.1.6, the turbo system was not behaving correctly across the full operating range. We had originally tested a built-in simulator option that appeared to help at first, but after deeper testing it did not provide the accuracy needed for this aircraft. An older WASM-based mixture system was also still active by accident, which caused the turbocharged model to behave incorrectly. For version 0.1.7, the turbocharged mixture behavior has been rebuilt in XML for faster testing, easier tuning, and more realistic operation. The new logic better represents how the TSIO-style fuel system reacts to engine speed, throttle position, mixture position, engine load, altitude, and turbocharger compressor pressure. At high power, the system automatically adjusts the engine mixture as altitude increases. At idle or very low power, the turbocharger is not producing the same compressed airflow, so high-altitude airports may require manual leaning while idling or taxiing. Once RPM and power are brought back up, the turbo mixture correction becomes active again. At and below critical altitude, the turbo mixture system will help maintain the proper fuel-air mixture during normal high-power operation. Above critical altitude, the turbocharger can no longer maintain the same ideal mixture automatically, so the pilot must manually lean the mixture to maintain best power.Pilots should now expect more realistic mixture behavior:- Full rich works normally near sea level.- High-altitude airports may require leaning at idle.- Higher RPM and power settings allow the turbo mixture correction to work automatically.- Above critical altitude, manual leaning is required to recover best power.- Leaning too far will reduce power and can eventually cause the engine to choke and quit.- EGT behavior now responds more naturally as the mixture is leaned.Testing at 25,000 feet, what to expect:- Set prop RPM to approximately 2500 RPM.- Open the ram air lever.- Manifold pressure should be around 29 inHg.- EGT should be around 1500°F.- Fuel flow should be around 25.8 GPH.- Mixture will need to be leaned to approximately 20%.- True airspeed should be around 310 knots. These numbers can vary slightly depending on weather, aircraft weight, ram air use, and exact mixture tuning, but this gives pilots a good high-altitude reference for the turbocharged model. This gives the turbocharged Legacy a much more realistic turbocharger and mixture-management experience, and we believe it is among the most realistic turbocharger simulations available on the market.2. The interior and exterior HUDs have been updated for better accuracy. The exterior HUD has been updated for airspeed, engine RPM, and fuel quantity reference ranges so the displayed tapes better match the aircraft’s actual operating limits. The interior and exterior HUD values should now be accurate for normal use.3. Insect splatter buildup has been adjusted.Insect splatter now takes approximately 3 hours under valid conditions to reach 100%, increased from the previous 2-hour rate. The buildup now only occurs when the aircraft is below 500 feet AGL and moving above 25 knots ground speed.Flight Dynamics Update:1. Elevator trim sensitivity has been corrected. In version 0.1.6, the elevator trim sensitivity was accidentally set incorrectly, making fine trim adjustments more difficult than intended. This has now been fixed, giving the pilot better fine-tuning control at higher speeds and making it easier to hold the desired pitch attitude accurately. 2. Flight dynamics have received additional pilot fine-tuning.Rudder authority at higher speeds has been reduced, while keeping more usable rudder during the takeoff roll for crosswind control. The rudder authority curve has been smoothed so the reduction is less abrupt before takeoff, but still decreases as airspeed increases.Top speed has also been reduced slightly by about 3% to better match the target performance numbers.Bugs:1. Fixed the turbocharged model mixture behavior that was broken in version 0.1.6 due to a conflict between the built-in turbo mixture option and the older WASM mixture logic.2. Disabled several built-in simulator damage categories that were causing unwanted or unrealistic failures. Some users reported random engine-related problems during normal flights. After further review, we decided to disable most of the built-in simulator damage categories that do not work well with our custom maintenance and failure systems, especially in standard free flight. Many of these default damage categories are designed more around the simulator’s career systems and can reset or behave inconsistently from flight to flight. The aircraft will continue to use our custom systems for engine, electrical, oil, instruments, lights, and other aircraft-specific failures where applicable. The following default simulator damage categories will remain active:- Autopilot- Controls- Fuel System- General- Ground Contact- Hydraulics System- Landing GearThis still allows the simulator to detect important damage events such as impacts, landing gear damage, control damage, fuel system damage, hydraulic damage, and general aircraft damage, while avoiding unwanted default failures that conflict with our custom logic.=========Future Updates:1. Windshield defrost/anti-ice improvements are planned. The defrost system will help keep a small amount of visibility near the lower windshield area during icing conditions.2. Official binding software is planned for a future update.3. Panel dimmer improvements are planned. The dimmer will also control the brightness of the warnings, cautions, AOA display, and COM2 radio LCD screen.4. The new headset cord will be automatically plugged into the audio jack located behind the pilot and co-pilot seats. The co-pilot cord will only appear if the seat is occupied.====================== Bill 😎FS2024 • Currently in 'GA mode' : A2A Comanche 2024 & Aerostar • Black Square C208, Bonanzas, Barons, TBM850, Dukes • COWS DA40 & DA42 • FSW Legacy, C24R Sierra & C414 • Echo Falco F8L • FFX HJET, Visionjet and P180 2024 • Got Friends A32 Vixxen • FSReborn Sirius TL3000, Sting S4 and Piper M500 • Flyboy Rans S6S • Skyward DA50RG • SWS Zenith CH701, RV-8, RV-10, RV-14, PC12 • Milviz C310R • Air Foil Labs Bristell B23 TrackIR • BeyondATC • PMS GTN Payware • RealTurb • Axis & Ohs • FS Realistic Pro9800X3D • RTX 3080 • 64GB DDR5-6000NPPL licence holder in the UK
