May 26May 26 Captains,This afternoon we have updated our much-loved PMDG DC-6 Cloudmaster so that it is now compatible with both MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024.PMDG DC-6 Cloudmaster is now compatible with both MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024:Effective today, PMDG DC-6 Cloudmaster pilots will find that their favorite Golden Age airliner is available to them on both simulation platforms with all of the detail and functionality that they love in this legendary PMDG product.Designed originally for MSFS 2020, we have adapted the airplane to ensure it functions normally and properly in MSFS. This was done primarily by adapting the LOD models to ensure visual stability in the MSFS 2024 platform. This allowed us to bring the 2020 version directly into MSFS 2024 with only minor technical changes made to ensure product stability on the new platform. We have not added new features or functionality, but instead focused on ensuring our customers could use this favorite PMDG product confidently in MSFS 2024.This is a Free Update:If you already own our PMDG DC-6 for MSFS 2020 purchased from PMDG.com, this is a free update and you can now install her into MSFS 2024 via the PMDG Operations Center 3.0.For new purchasers on either MSFSF 2020 or MSFS 2024, you will receive access to both versions of the product, giving you flexibility and confidence in product stability going forward. The updated PMDG DC-6 Cloudmaster is available right now via PMDG.com.This new version will be sent to Microsoft Flight Simulator Marketplace for intake on PC/Xbox and the same values apply for new/existing DC-6 owners once the product becomes available in Marketplace. We anticipate availability through those venues in 10-14 days.Source: https://forum.pmdg.com/forum/main-forum/general-discussion-news-and-announcements/399025-26may26-pmdg-dc-6-cloudmaster-the-legend-continues-in-msfs-2024 Edited May 26May 26 by Zangoose Vote to fix transparent sun visors having no effect on the sun glare effect in MSFS at: https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/sun-shades-sun-visors-not-influencing-light-in-cockpit/691565/
May 26May 26 At last. Great news! Now I just have to wait till around 10p.m. when it'll be cool enough to turn the PC on.🙃
May 26May 26 Great news for sure. Has the model been updated/changed in any way or will the old liveries on flightsim.to all still work ok?

May 26May 26 First thing to check: vor\ils navigation and approach. It was a nightmare in msfs20 because there wasn't any communication between pmdg and wt. Missing the PMDG DC6 in MSFS 2024 (she's here, but...).
May 27May 27 I did a KBKF/KSAN vor to vor flight, she's flying well, but loosing the vor signal frequently back to gyropilot and localizer again solves the problem, but I don't know if it is a bug. Missing the PMDG DC6 in MSFS 2024 (she's here, but...).
May 27May 27 The WASM crash still remains on my end DA B760M PRO4 | i5-13400F | RTX 3060 12 GB | G.Skills Ripjaws 32GB | MSI MAG A550BN | Ace Power 1 TB NVMe | Cooler Master Hyper 212
May 27May 27 Another vor to vor flight today eddf\lgss without problems, ils landing correct. No wasm crashed on my end. Missing the PMDG DC6 in MSFS 2024 (she's here, but...).
May 27May 27 I thought it looked a little better, especially outside...very shiny.Seems to work ok but my main complaint is still with the sounds; Super weak. Which is something I don't get. When it first released the sounds were nice and punchy, like you'd expect with 4 radial engines.I don't know what happened along the way. Somebody complained the sounds were too loud? I know I'm spoiled and all, but the sounds are just too much of a downer when there's so many other excellent aircraft out there. Maybe after all of PMDG's other projects are complete they could make an update for the DC-6.
