We have numerous discussions here on AVSIM regarding performance in general and we keep forgetting to indicate the VRAM, if you observe specifications under many signatures, you will notice that, more often than not, it is not there either.

Unless we consider that VRAM is irrelevant for performance - I don't believe that is the case - it should be part of the discussion and parameters we exchange here so as to establish some more reliable benchmark for comparisons.

Maybe try KATL to KORD. That would be a good test.

I just completed a flight from KMIA to KORD in the A350. I thought my system would struggle and become a slide show. But all went well. My Vram was close to max taxing around MIA and during takeoff, but everything stayed smooth. The approach and landing was also smooth. Taxing to gate I had some small studders but nothing to be concerned about. I thought having the Samscene Chicago scenery would bring down my system on a 26R approach and landing to ORD, but using Auto FPS really made a big difference.

Maybe it’s just me but This scenery feels unfinished. Or maybe it’s the jetway feature that makes it seem that way. Or that the transparency on the windows doesn’t work well.

The quality varies greatly from terminal to terminal. Terminals 1 and 2 look pretty good on the inside, but Terminal 5 is a total disaster.

My performance drops massively, especially when panning the camera toward the cargo area, regardless of whether there’s traffic or not. It never becomes unflyable (always around the low 30s FPS with FG-FSR3), but it feels choppy.

VRAM usage is at 15.2 out of 16 GB (Beyond Traffic / 9070XT).

GSX boarding doesn’t work via jetways anywhere. There’s plenty of room for improvement.

Overall, the scene just looks strange, especially when there’s fog and low-hanging clouds.

Everything shimmers in such a strange way.

Between Runway 28L and along the taxiways leading to Runway 28R, there are mountains of sand floating in the air.

That's all I noticed during my first flight with the A350.

The scenery is better than FSDT's, but that's not saying much. Once the hype dies down, the flaws will become apparent—and pretty quickly, at that.

I'm not one of these people that use "snow flake" left and right, but I did not find it offensive at all. I can see where more analytical minds would like that info just wasn't expecting one of my few posts to get a request is all.

Hopefully you found the specs useful.

As someone who does sim as United, I decided to turn off the terminals (terminal detail) UAL does NOT use to see if that helps the VRAM situation.

RTX 5070 ti 16 ram 64 ram on my rig

Did KATL to KORD. There are moments where the A350 struggles but like you pretty smooth except for the taxiing. That could have gone better.

It is markedly better and nowhere near as taxing on my system (my system specs are in my signature below). Looks incredible. Hey, I fly in, park, and shut down. I do not taxi around looking for flaws, and never try to use MSFS to enter the airport and look around. I have spent too many long hours in airports during my business career and the inside of an airport in a simulator is not on my plate. 🤥

As if that were an argument for anything. When a feature is implemented - in this case, the terminal interior - I take a look at it, and if I’m not satisfied with it, I criticize it.

Whether I actually end up using it or value it is irrelevant for now, and it’s also extremely subjective, because your expectations for a scenery don’t have to be the same as mine.

That’s why I’m just one of many people sharing their opinion here.

This is a beautiful airport inside and out. Their other detailed EGLL there is something neat. On one of the terminals using GSX you will see the passengers going through the jetway - the one that has nice pictures as they pass into the glass sided jetway. But what's really neat is that when you enter the terminal the passengers are actually coming down the escalator from one of the areas and entering the gate entrance through the jetway to the plane. Easter egg!
