Sadly, it looks like the FSW Lear 35 is their last jet. Apparently, the dev costs for a Hi Fi jet (even a “simple” one like the old Lear) are too high to get a decent financial return.

I don’t have their experience/info, but some of that is simply going to come down to pricing: they priced their Lear quite high, relatively speaking. To their credit, they did recently lower the price, but that seems not to have moved the needle? Perhaps give it more time…

I’d be curious to see how successful the FSR Phenom has been vs the FSW Lear.

Also, no more Piston Singles for now, either (fine with me!).

In happier news, it looks like the FSW team aren’t taking any breaks!

All the current addons continue to receive updates AND upgrades to 2024 Native.

In very good news for ME, they’re considering the Cessna 441 Conquest turboprop a bit further down the line. 😎

# **Flysimware’s 2026 [New] Product Goals!** ✈️

Along with our current product updates and native MSFS 2024 upgrades, we also have new aircraft development underway and are beginning to look toward what comes next.

## **1. Piper PA-31 Navajo Chieftain – NEW PRODUCT**

The **Piper Navajo Chieftain for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024** remains one of our major new-aircraft projects.

Our current goal is to have the **beta available with a target near Christmas 2026 or early 2027. **.

More information will be shared as development progresses.

## **What Comes Next?**

Once our current projects are further along, we will begin selecting the next new Flysimware aircraft.

Some of you may remember a recent poll regarding a very niche aircraft that a friend of ours is working to preserve.

That poll was a little different from our normal aircraft voting. We already suspected there would not be enough commercial demand to justify developing that particular aircraft. We primarily wanted to show our friend and the people working to preserve the real aircraft what the actual flight-sim community response looked like.

Our upcoming aircraft vote will be very different. 😎

We are putting together a list of potential future Flysimware aircraft, including:

* **Cessna 441 Conquest II**
* **Cessna 402C Businessliner**, including the famous **Cape Air** livery
* **Mitsubishi MU-2B-60**
* Possibly **two additional aircraft**

And we want your suggestions!

There is one important requirement:

### **We are looking for vintage analog twins.**

For our next two or three new aircraft, Flysimware would like to concentrate heavily on **twin-engine aircraft with traditional analog cockpits**.

There are already a huge number of single-engine GA aircraft available today, while many great twins have either never been developed for the modern simulators or have not received the treatment we think they deserve.

Our twin-engine aircraft have also historically been some of the products our customers enjoy the most.

So for the next few projects, **vintage analog twins may become something of a Flysimware specialty.**

# **Flysimware’s 2026 Upgrade Goals!** ✈️

Here is a look at our current **2026 upgrade and update goals** for existing Flysimware products.

As always, release dates are estimates and can change depending on testing and development.

## **1. Lancair Legacy – Final Development & Polish**

The **Lancair Legacy for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024** has been released, but we do not consider development finished until all planned features are added, reported bugs are addressed, and the aircraft has had time to fully mature.

Over approximately the **next 30 days**, we will continue polishing the Legacy, completing the remaining planned features, and addressing any reports that come in.

Our goal is to reach the point where we can officially call development complete.

## **2. Sierra C24R – Major MSFS 2020 Update**

The **Sierra C24R for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020** has received a major update with numerous improvements, fixes, and new features.

Some of the major additions include:

* **Built-in hardware bindings**
* New **fuel tank timer**
* New **climate control system**

We currently expect this update to be released in approximately **one week**.

This update will also become the foundation for the upcoming native MSFS 2024 version.

## **3. Learjet 35A Native 2024 – Major Update**

The **Learjet 35A Native for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024** is also receiving a major update.

Some of the new additions include:

* New seat design
* Fire extinguisher
* Interactive pitot covers and engine covers that can be installed again while parked during your flight
* **Built-in hardware bindings through the EFB**
* Our new **TruSim Dynamic Dirt Effect System**
* Dirt that dynamically builds up on the aircraft
* Rain that naturally washes dirt away
* Manual washing
* Maintenance overrides that allow you to set the dirt level yourself

We currently expect this update in approximately **1–2 weeks**.

## **4. Sierra C24R Native MSFS 2024**

Next will be a **fully native Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 version of the Sierra C24R**.

Existing C24R customers will be offered a **$10 upgrade**.

The native version will include all of the improvements being added to the MSFS 2020 version along with additional MSFS 2024 features, including:

* Full pre-flight walk-around support
* Interactive aircraft inspection
* Our **TruSim Dynamic Dirt Effect System**
* Native MSFS 2024 features and improvements

## **5. Cessna 414AW Chancellor Native MSFS 2024**

The **Cessna 414AW Chancellor** is also coming to Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 as a fully native product.

Existing C414 customers will also receive a **$10 upgrade option**.

The native version is planned to include:

* Full MSFS 2024 pre-flight walk-around support
* TruSim Dynamic Dirt Effects
* Native MSFS 2024 features
* Additional fixes and improvements as needed

The C414 has been one of Flysimware’s most popular products, and we know many of you have been waiting for a native MSFS 2024 version.

Our current target is approximately **one month**.

If there is something in the existing C414 that you believe should be improved while we are working on the native version, **let us know!**

I did quite enjoy the Learjet when it came out and have many hours in it. But I also wasn't a fan of the high upgrade price to the 2024 version so I never did upgrade it.

I hope they may pick the Mitsubishi MU-2B-60 as their next project after the Chieftain.

I bit the bullet and did it. For me, it’s just too close to my ideal aircraft to let it go. ❤️

In fairness, they did bundle all the previously extra-cost variants in, but I dislike that pricing “strateegery”. At least on the Lancair we’re getting substantial functional and perf diffs with all of those options.

You may want to check it out again - the pricing has come down quite a bit. Perhaps that’ll tilt the decision for you. 🤙

That would be my preference, but it seems they don’t have access to an IRL example.

Plus the iniBuilds example would probably be somewhat of a drag on sales…?

I don't know is possible, that IB rendition of the smaller brother of that plane was a letdown for me, I liked a lot the FSX version of the FSW MU-2 back on those days so I would expect something really good for 2024.

I just love their aircraft - and the Lear jet (2020) and Reborn 500 and looking forward to getting the Chieftain - I flew years ago

I hope by the time that it comes out - they will have stopped the ridiculous idea of using MS Marketplace as their selling point - because somehow -I have not been able to buy their last 3 aircraft - due to a glitch on MS - which makes me wonder how many sales they have lost

These are a FlightsimWARE aircraft, not FSReborn. FSW also sell through their own store (unlike FSR). And yeah, not buying anything FSR either, marketplace-only being a major factor.

Despite many a complaint on their Discord - they still insist they keep more money by using MS

This news is fantastic for me (as someone who has retired from flying jets in MSFS2024). Single pistons are my weapon of choice but I also love a good twin.

The most exciting part for me - don't know if you feel this as well - is that FSW have hugely elevated their game with the Legacy. In all areas but particularly functions, maintenance and wear/tear. So a Piper Navajo with the same attention to detail as the Legacy will be amazing.

It's fantastic to see the most underrated GA aircraft in the sim, getting a big update: The FSW Sierra C24R. It is an incredibly immersive little complex single trainer and I have a lot of hours in it. Can't wait for the native 2024 version. And then there's the venerable C414 - the first piston twin I flew back when 2020 was released. It's still great today but desperately needs some additional FSW stock features, like headphone simulation.

Even with the nasty KAP140 AP in the analogue Legacy, ( 😄 ) FSW are absolutely the good guys in my book and I will buy any new release / update they put out!
