12 hours ago12 hr Just now, St Mawgan said:Why should it break anything?Because their track record has not been good lately. I'm seeing things on the forum like zoom on the GNS 530 not working in SU7 that haven't been addressed.
12 hours ago12 hr Actually SU's usually don't break anything. It has happened but it's not the norm. Sometimes people have 101 little MSFS 'helpers' running in the background which tend to do most of the breaking, but SU's usually do more good than harm. And SU7 isn't finished yet so I would expect there to be things not working properly while it is still in beta. I would be looking forward to SU7 but I'm not an air racer so I'm expecting any other gains to be minimal this time round. 617.42 installed. 12 hours ago12 hr As I use optiscaler to enable 4x frame gen on my 4090 together with DLSS5, I could not care less about this driver release. But that is just me. I am really happy that SU7 already appears next week, because the one fix Umberto is waiting for to implement his multijetway thing is postponed to SU8. The faster those things come out, the better 😁 Greetings, Chris AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, 2x32GB DDR5 6000MT/s RAM, MSI RTX 4090 Ventus 3X, Windows 11 Home, MSFS2024

9 hours ago9 hr Game Ready For Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 Sim Update 7, Featuring DLSS 4.5Microsoft and Asobo Studio are releasing Sim Update 7 for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 on October 13th, adding free new National Championship Air Races for players to partake in, engine updates, and further refinements. In September 2025, Sim Update 3 introduced support for DLSS Multi Frame Generation, adding to the already-supported DLSS Frame Generation and Super Resolution, DLAA, ray-traced shadows, and NVIDIA Reflex. The new Sim Update 7 upgrades the entire suite of DLSS technologies to DLSS 4.5, while also introducing support for Multi Frame Generation with up to 6X multiplication. Previously, 4X Multi Frame Generation boosted 4K frame rates by an average of 4.2X, and in our testing, 6X Multi Frame Generation scales linearly, with increases of up to 6.4X.If you don’t need performance that high, you can take advantage of the newly-added Dynamic Multi Frame Generation, an intelligent system that functions like an automatic transmission for GeForce RTX 50 Series GPUs. Instead of sticking to a fixed Frame Generation multiplier, it automatically shifts between different multipliers to strike the perfect balance between frame rate, image quality and responsiveness. In other words, it only generates the frames needed to maximize your target frame rate, or the refresh rate of your display, be that 120Hz, 144Hz, 240Hz, or higher.By continuously monitoring the gap between your GPU’s performance and your display’s maximum refresh rate, the system adapts in real-time. In graphically intense scenarios, it ‘upshifts’ and increases frame generation to bridge performance dips, ensuring your high-refresh display remains buttery smooth. Conversely, as the workload lightens, it seamlessly shifts the multiplier down to only compute what’s needed.Additionally, the upgrade to DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution sees image quality further enhanced for all GeForce RTX pilots, making each flight even more immersive.
