  1. Consider joining a virtual airline that offers the same, or similar career as subLOGIC's ATP. In fact, the first one came out as a desire to have more flight assignments similar to the ones in ATP.
  2. On that link you can see all the B737 variants for you to select. For example, here's a direct link to a B737-700 on Boeing house colors... http://www.freeskyproject.com/files/file/122-boeing-737-700-project-open-sky-house-colors/
  3. As a "light weight flier" the link posted by nzeddy is your best choice, plus you already stated the PMDG NGX is too costly for you. Both the PMDG and the iFly B737 could also be too complicated for the style of flying you're seeking. Regards,
  4. I haven't had much luck with the solution. I have the stated version in the FSX folder. In my case FSX crashes upon invoking the ground crew menu in the Level-D B767. All I gather is that this "strange behavior" happens to some, but not to others.
  5. Suggest you research and, if you don't find an answer, post your question in the licensed members' forum. It's one of your benefits as a paid customer. Dave Vega
  6. Thank you for the heads up. Regards, David Vega
  7. Suggest you keep trying their forum. Should get best help there. Dave Vega
  8. Impressive. Who will be publishing this?
  9. I hope you know that you don't really zap them out of existence, you only transfer them to an alternate universe were they pop in directly in front of another AI creating the situation alluded in original post. :biggrin:Regards,
  10. No, wait, I can paint the T in different liveries.Dave Vega
  11. Here is what I saw:You're not really comparing the flight models, but the behavior of similar airplanes upon takeoff in two different simulators. On the FSX part, you rotated pass typical rotation speed, maybe because you thought you were using full payload/fuel, but you climb airspeed was slower than typical, and slower than on the X-plane climb. You FSX climb would result in a higher angle of attack, and that means different airplane behavior in torque, p-factor, etc.. Best regards,David VegaPPL
  12. It is sad that some continue to render opinions on other sim users instead of the actual add-ons. This is what usually turns these threads from informative to combative.
  13. Thank you all. It would be nice to have a simple app that mods the .cfg automatically. I'm sure program mentioned does it, and then more. A simple app that can read the values, if they're available, would eliminate the trial and error. Again, thank you all for the help.Regards,
  14. Is there an automatic tool, or part of a tool, that allows one to automatically set the eyepoint after making visual adjustments within FSX? In other words, we can all adjust how far up or down, zoom level, left | right, etc, until we get it just so, but I haven't found the way to automatically preserve the settings. Dave Vega
  15. Danny, I don't see a problem on the pics. Still, ensure you have the latest video driver for your video card. What you see as lines may be just a resolution adjustment issue.
  16. I do recall having a similar problem. There are more than one scenery.cfg files in a Win7 environment. In my case, there is one in the fltsim folder, and another one in the C:\Users\[...]\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FS9 folder. Depending on whether I was acting as the administrator or not, older install programs were installing to one, and newer to the other, but I couldn't tell you which one.I'm sure others will jump in with better, or worse, advice. Regards,
  17. After you land, you can ask AES to dispatch a "follow me" truck to guide you to the gate of your choosing.
  18. Captain Mitch, and everyone else, What would I have to change in FS9, any FS9 add-on, or any other hardware/software, in order to use the iFly B737?Regards,
  19. Joseph,Recommend following your lead and see if the sim crashes at other airports. If it doesn't, then it's likely the problem is localized to something at UUDD, i.e., scenery, AFCAD, etc. Deactivate the scenery first, and see if it crashes with the default scenery. I'm sure others more knowledgeable folks will also help with suggestions.Regards,
  20. Thank you Gerry and Mad Dog, very informative. Best regards,
  21. How about St Louis Lambert (KSTL)? Nobody has done that one, the airport has a significant amount of traffic, and there are plenty of us that live in its vicinity that could contribute with photos.
  22. Right you are. I'm seriously considering buying the iFly B737, but I keep hearing about these problems with autopilot, joystick calibrations, etc. What's your take? Wonder why these products don't just simply work out of the box.
  23. Good read, thank you. Danny proposes an interesting idea. Perhaps if you consider flying on-line, and publish where and when, some may join you for a segment of the adventure. If you come near St Louis, MO, let me know, I'm interested. Have fun.
