  1. I experienced the same problem many times with other prop aircraft that was rated up to 24000 ft. Couldn't figure out why plane lost power passing 18000 and would not get power back until below 12000. I was flying the Duke B60 v2 from Fairbanks to Anchorage and it happened again. So turned on the fuel heater switches and that allowed me to regain power and climb to 24000. But some pay ware aircraft aren't modeled with fuel heaters, so the only way I could stop the loss of power was to stop icing all together in FSUIPC. Now I'm able to fly my prop above 18000 without losing power all of a sudden. Hope this helps
  2. I also like the UTX version of that area. I goggled and it's very close. I use the cloud 9 LC for that area sandwiched between UTX LC entries.
  3. I saw that scenery at Simmarket but not being from Norway, I didn't know how accurate it was for flying. I'll just continue to use with Norway package. Thanks
  4. Silly question but are you using default airport files? Or do you use custom afcads?
  5. If you open the AI aircraft folder and open the .air file, look for aircraft type=. If the value is 2, change to 0 and the AI will show in your FS9 Aircraft selection menu. You can then choose that AI plane. If it does not rotate or textures are bad you see it then. Then you can correct the problem or delete the livery.
  6. I run FS9 with GTX 660ti and NVidia inspector without any issues. I never had any artifacts, all my settings are max.
  7. I was going to purchase the PMDG 777 until I found out it cant be installed in V1.4 or any future versions of P3D. Which forced me to take a pass on probably a great add-on. I wish these developers would reconsider their positions. If not then FTX and other developers that do support P3D at no added charge is in my future purchases.
  8. Back in the days of Win98 and FAT16/32 systems this was a required fix to set page size with FS. With newer OS's it's not needed because windows handles it's paging and memory allocation more efficiently. Customizing your page file size will not eliminate OOM's because one has nothing to do with the other. I recommend that you let windows manage your page file size and it's one the same drive as your OS.
  9. I feel ya. I was going to purchase the PMDG 777 until I found out it cant be installed in P3D. Which forced me to take a pass on probably a great add-on. I wish these developers would reconsider their positions. If not then FTX and other developers that do support P3D at no added charge is in my future purchases.
  10. Thank you. Everything worked out well. I used with GEX and UT Europe and with this mod Norway looks stunning in P3D. Can't wait for Lockheed V2. Which Oslo photosceney do you use or recommend? B) Thanks again
  11. I finally installed this Norway scenery. Wow what a big difference. Much thanks to the developer for the work put in. Great job. Is this scenery compatible with Norway Scenic X?? Or should I deactivate Norway_Scenic_X Thanks again
  12. So at night time flying over the area, what will I see? A dark hole where Switzerland should be? Or do it need to get deactivated for night flying?
  13. I surprise that Overland stop developing for FSX and P3D after they made the great RKSI. I enjoyed all their sceneries for FS9, they were all fantastic and reasonably priced. I'm a scenery junkie for flight Sim, but I'll also pass on this one. The price is a bit over the top.
  14. Is this V2.0 come with night textures and seasons?? The day time screen shots look awesome.
  15. I can't I tell the difference between the V1.5 version and the V2.0? Both has the same texture reference and looking at the FSX aircraft selection menu nothing says V2.0 or V1.5. I'm confused. Should I of removed the 1.5 version before installing the 2.0????? Plus in the 2.0 aircraft cfg there are 5 aircraft referenced, but there are 11 texture files in V2 folder. What happen to the rest??
  16. Not sure if this has been ask, but do the 1.5 version need to get uninstalled before installing 2.0?
  17. Will MSE offer selective areas of coverage for the 2.0 for those of us who don't want complete state or country coverage like was offered in your earlier version.
  18. I now have the same issue. Never had this happen before I installed the latest SP3 upgrade. I know the MD is not supposed to take off or land at KDEN because of altitude but I have done before using sis star before installing SP3.
  19. I haven't yet but I'm also considering purchasing FTXG. I have all the GEX textures packages installed now. I would stay with GEX however they will not support P3D, where FTXG does. I'm trying to move completely away from FSX and go strictly P3D.
  20. I use FS auto start to start CPU Affinity before FS9 launches. It also shuts down when FS9 is done. I get no performance hit at all. Just smooth processing across all 4 cores. Especially when running multiple programs in back round (RC, Flight keeper, Active sky etc.)
  21. True very true. FS9 is a single core program. Affinity mask won't make a difference. However there was a program wrote about a year or so ago for Intel and AMD cpu's to run on multi core systems. It was called auto cpu affinity for FS 2004. It had to be started before FS9 was started, and it would allocate the process across all 4 processors.
  22. I still use a program called "AOM" that was a pay ware AC and AI flt plan management tool. Not sure if it's still available but it works great. The next thing that sort of come close is Addit Pro, which is also pay ware
  23. This is an FS9 install not a FSX. At least that's what I thought he was attempting to install to.
