Top Frame Removed, Why?
Chase replied to Joseph29's topic in Letters to the Editorial Staff of AVSIM
I see what you mean about how that would be convenient in that circumstance. One way to get around that now that our top frame is removed, is by hitting the HOME key on your keyboard. That will shoot you right back to the top of the page quicker than a New York minute. -
They are probably not running the same version of IPB as us. We have the newest most recent version running. There are still bugs being worked out in it, and this happens to be one of them.

I see this is your first post here. I'll move it to the FS2004 forum for you.

My treatment here at AVSIM
Chase replied to frankla's topic in Letters to the Editorial Staff of AVSIM
Folks, this topic has gone on long enough. Time for a lock. -
Nothing was worse than flying Spirit once (never again) and not even having seats in the terminal to wait for boarding. It was nothing but empty space and carpet. So much for showing up early, lots of standing and sitting on the floor.

Sorry the only people that would have an ETA on the fix is the maker of the APP. They need to update the code to be compatible with the forum software's latest version that we installed.

Tom and Staff, congrats on new front page!
Chase replied to glenm's topic in Letters to the Editorial Staff of AVSIM
We take a "closed door view" to constructive criticism that is no longer constructive, but emotional. None of us get paid to have to deal with that non sense. I've known this team to always be welcoming of feedback. -

Really sorry- but not for me
Chase replied to grajay's topic in Letters to the Editorial Staff of AVSIM
Not discouraging at all. AVSIM prides in pioneering and innovating to bring our readers better readability and access. So we make a few changes here and there, test things out, and if they work they stick. If not, we abandon the change and move along knowing we tried it on for a fit and it wasn't for us. I know it may confuse some when large changes take place, but I have a feeling once our habits update, our eyes adjust to where they need to shift to get what we want to read and the dust settles, this is going to be a very unique and outstanding front page. -
I've fixed the banner for you.

Marty, First, hello neighbor. I am in your neck of the woods. Second, please please please -- give us some time to iron on the kinks. With any upgrade anywhere for anything, there's going to be a buggy start. The very best we can do is track the issues, work on solutions, and make improvements.
