  1. i manually landed there too when the wind was 310@30, but wind was constant so it was easy. I was using Opus but if it was the real thing there would be constant windshear and landing anything would be very hard. Anyone know how to set Opus to have windshear?
  2. At the moment im using Simbrief... it's a free alternative which is VERY accurate on winds and fuel figures for pmdg aircrafts. The cruise wind is around the values on the NAV display, which is fed by OpusFSX. Note that in real life, winds will not exactly match the flight plan but the general speed and direction will be good for fuel planning. What it lacks is it doesn't have weather packages found on real flight plans such as proc charts... but since this is free I'm not complaining
  3. If you are relating to FSX, then I'm afraid the internal atc is not very smart at determining the active runway in relation to the wind. It also gets affected by the AFCAD file of the airport. Sometimes I get simultaneous landings on the same runwya in both directions... weird. I hope someone can also bring up a solution that ensures atc uses the correct runway all the time.
  4. its in the introduction pdf..... something like left click and hold and move your mouse left or right to change the values.... anyways read the manuals for detailed explanation
  5. Really need TOPCAT or charts in this matter if you want to do it like the real thing....hopefully TOPCAT will release the 777 profile soon
  6. The next big thing should be Battlefield 4.... hope the 777 will be compatible
  7. I'm from Hong Kong and I find myself enjoying in this virtual airlines more than my home ones =)

Or they should release it today 2nd of Sept 7 minutes past 7... why? 9-2 = 7 I know it doesn't make much sense but any reason to release it is a good reason
  9. I know it has nothing to do with OOM. In fact, that's what I'm trying to say, GTX780 or Titan will not help improve FSX much at all, because FSX doesn't know how to use it properly. I have deactivated sceneries that i dont fly to and from on each flight.
  10. Yesterday I was flying into UK2000 EGLL from Megaairport EDDF with FTX EU and ENG installed... ran into OOM. I also have the GTX780 Superclocked. I think top cards are now an overkill as it will never be able to process the amount of texture before FSX runs into an OOM.......
  11. You might hit the OOM wall before you even see the clouds when paired with payware heathrow and FTX ENG......I only use non hd textures for my clouds even with my GTX780
  12. Thats the same card I'm using ! great choice! Cloud is not much of a problem for me as I use REX non-hd textures to prevent OOMs. They look great to me. Low FPS occurs on my system on NGX + 100% AI + BIG payware airports like FSDT KLAX or similar.
  13. I'm using the 780. I'm no expert but considering the price difference and the 780 depending on your version can be overclocked ahead of the Titan, I would choose 780 hands down. The only main difference is the memory which I think will not make any difference to FSX. So you should choose the card based on other games you would play apart from FSX.
  14. Is it multiplayer or single or coop?
  15. total war fans here! :good: also cant wait for BF4, the reason why i bought a GTX780!

  17. is there a VA out there that gives you a payload to carry instead of myself randomly generating one? Joe Li
  18. Hi Morten, you're right. I used to work in a handling agent and have access to a few and flew them on fs using real world weights and fuel. Real fun to fly them real time and compare the fuel figures. Now some of their logins changed and I've been craving for them ever since. Thanks anyways! Joe Li
  19. Flight Planning system web access Hi, Just wondering if anyone could supply me with real world airline's flight planning access links and login info so i can obtain up to date flight plans. I will only be using them for educational and simming purposes. Many Thanks Joe Li
  20. American airport.... have u tried inputting KW99 into the fmc? Joe Li
  21. Hi guys. My first time posting here. Here's the problem. I'm flying from Hobart to Sydney and on the FMC I have strange ETA for waypoints and my destination. On a 100nm distance it predicts to takes 10+ hours to fly which is of course not correct. I have attached a screenshot of my fmc prog page. The erroneous ETA is also displayed when u press DATA and ETA for each waypoint is displayed on the ND. I have searched the forum for this issue and have found a thread relating to this but no solution has been found. I'm sure many people are still experiencing this issue.Any help would be appreciated.ThanksJoe Li
