  1. "There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio", Than are dreamt of in your philosophy..." DJ
  2. The ATR or the PMDG B1900C re-instrumented with the GNS530 waas is very nice. DJ
  3. Thanks for the link to the Great Circle Map - that's a valuable resource. DJ
  4. Great work from HJG, and greatly appreciated! Merry Christmas to all. DJ
  5. Two very good books on the subject: "The Curse of the Narrows" and "The Great Halifax Explosion: A World War I Story of Treachery, Tragedy, and Extraordinary Heroism". This explosion and others are of special interest to me since my mother survived a similar incident in WWII. DJ
  6. It sounds as though the dll.xml file was corrupted during the installation. It needs to be checked and, perhaps, reconstructed. You might post the content of the file here. DJ
  7. You need to talk to a lawyer in your country. You also need to deal with your credit card company and have the charges removed. Most companies will kill fraudulent charges if they are so notified. You also need to start looking at what is going on with your credit card(s) and notice immediately when these things happen. Finally, you need to use PayPal. There is no point in discussing this in this forum; you need legal help. DJ
  8. Hi, Items 2., 3., and 4. are not supported by FS9.It supports DX9 only, one graphics card, and is processor rather than GPU bound. I'm not aware of a setting for autogen other than density, but any setting would be in the FS9.cfg file. DJ
  9. Hi, All As of the 1712 AIRAC release of the Navigraph data, VHHX exists in the data for all supported aircraft types. It does not exist in the current release of NavDataPro, and I have no idea what their plans may or may not be for support. DJ
  10. Charts may be found here: http://ivao.hk/download/charts/VHHX.pdf DJ
  11. Thanks for that... DJ (Sgt. USA ret. VN 1966 - 1968)
  12. Hi, I have no idea where it should be for Win10 - I suggest going over to the FSUIPC forum here: http://forum.simflight.com/forum/30-fsuipc-support-pete-dowson-modules/ and asking. I've seen very little support information for those who try to run FS9 on Win10. That said, does the rebuilt file in documents\flight simulator files make a difference, and are you running FS from the right click "run as administrator" DJ
  13. Make sure that you don't have two versions of FSUIPC in your modules subdirectory, delete or rename the fsuipc.ini file and start FS to build a new fsuipc.ini. Now set all your options and you should be good to go. The "issue" you have is particular to your setup and not a common one at all. DJ
  14. A repaint request is not a support request. iFly repaints are user created. Read the tutorial or come to the support site for the answer to your problem. DJ
  15. Most responses to questions in the iFly forae take between one or two hours at most unless asked on the weekend. Support on the weekends is ad hoc and may take as much as a day. If you ask a deeply technical question responses may take longer while the support folks check with the pilots or developers. In your case, the tutorial that comes with the aircraft will answer your questions - you must follow it carefully. DJ
  16. The JTF2 deployment that got a citation was a relief operation in Haiti - which is precisely what I wrote with regard to non-combat operations. Most Canadian operations have been supporting operations for domestic political reasons. How does that affect Canada's need for advanced fighter aircraft? DJ
  17. It is not. They are planning a new version, but it may very well be for P3D only. DJ
  18. So, who do you think Canada is going to war with? Australia has actually spent a fair amount of time, fighting in the Pacific and Asia and takes its treaty obligations seriously. I worked with Aussie troops in Vietnam who actually were there to fight. Canada honors her treaty obligations with non-combat troops only. DJ
  19. This is not a virus. This is Norton reading a pattern of bits that it thinks might be a virus. Norton is wrong. Exclude your FSX directories from scanning and restore whatever file it may have quarantined. Norton is over-enthusiastic with this sort of scanning and easily fooled. As a developer I could, on occasion, change 1 bit in an executable and generate a virus warning of this sort. DJ
  20. Go to Simmarket and see my review of KBHM... the author and I no longer speak. His idea of performance tuning involves turning the sliders down to FS9 levels apparently. DJ
