  1. Looks great, Stian....Japan is a favorite place to fly with all the excellent Overland airports available. Are you using the 777 panel which was included with the 787 model, or a different one?
  2. Looks like a great model, Stian...can't go wrong with PDX as a backdrop either.
  3. And some very nice randoms they are......good stuff!
  4. Picked this one up today, and as usual it's another UK2000 winner. Amazingly consistent quality from those fellows.
  5. Great, Rob. From reading the forums, it sounds like crash landings are pretty much the norm in the UH-1 at first. I haven't picked it up yet, but am tempted.
  6. Really great clouds and sky in that series, Ed! Hawaii to LA is a nice short leg length in the 742...
  7. Those ENB settings look pretty good on my rig, Dillon. I haven't used it much in the past, as I thought the effect was too strong, but those settings strike a nice balance. And thanks to Feng for posting your settings as well. Old FS9 can still look amazing with the right addons and tweaks.
  8. Thanks for the tip about the scenery, Harald, and to Ed as well for the fixes. A very nice scenery indeed.....
  9. Great shots of a piece of Canadian aviation history, Aharon. Very cool of HJG to do a repaint of it in its last livery before retirement.
  10. Updrafts, downdrafts, density altitude, mountain waves, rotor clouds, which side of a canyon to fly on, when not to fly in a canyon at all, how to pick a landing spot when the fan up front quits....and turboprop airliners that pop up right in front of you from behind a ridge when approaching the Aspen airport. Other than that, not much......
  11. Very nice shots. I did my mountain flying checkout in that area, and it was....educational.
  12. What a nice surprise! Great job again, Ed.
  13. There's actually a dedicated forum here at Avsim for the RFP 747; if you page down a bit you should spot it on the main forums list. Here's an old thread from there that may still apply: http://forum.avsim.net/topic/234141-posky-742v4-rfpv2-merge-200200f-jt9d/ I've successfully merged the two in the past, so I know it can be done.
  14. Fantastic news; I'm very glad they're a going concern again. One of the best resources in the hobby.
  15. I've always been curious as to what FSX can do with regard to airliners that FS9 can't, other than flying over the poles accurately. I mean, specular shine, bump mapped rivets and big textures are nice, but hardly relevant for airliner systems. And the OOM's have me concerned about spending big money on FSX at this point.
  16. Strong work, Ed! That panel just gets better all the time....
  17. Check out "fab733an.zip" and "fab733di.zip" over at Flightsim.com.
  18. Awesome, BrzI ! Takes me back to your old missile defense videos for Flanker 2. I assume that these shots are from Flaming Cliffs 3, which I will be buying as soon as it's out of beta....
  19. A favorite of mine as well, Staffan, and agree that this is the best Tristar model (and painter) around. Great shots!
  20. Fantastic, Ed! Looks like a rainy day at UUDD......
  21. What a terrific set, Eric! Great lighting in your sim shots, too, as usual, and the 742 is a welcome substitute for the more modern version. I have the same quality problem with snaps taken with my iPhone, which illustrates the jack-of-all-trades nature of the device, I guess.
  22. Fantastic lighting in that shot, Eric. Looks great.<br />
  23. So real you can smell that fragrant harbor! Great stuff, Ed; should be a fantastic video.
