  1. Bryan, I'm really ashamed to say what I was doing, but I'll say it anyway. I downloaded the correct updated .zip file, but was forgetting to unzip it. So I kept installing the same old .exe file from before....dah. 😜 Works great now. Thank you, Bob
  2. It shows 1.2 now. It still doesn't show 1.2a though. I see that the version number is also on the configuration interface. Both are showing 1.2 now.
  3. I certainly hope that MSFS will provide profiles for hardware setup on each aircraft right out of the box. One of the things that I like about X-Plane 11 really.
  4. Well, I stayed with the plan and flew the TFDi 717 from KMEM to the new KSAT that I just bought. So, 2020 found me landing one of my favorite aircraft on Rwy 04 at KSAT. That's what I call bringing in the New Year right! Happy New Year to Everyone. Bob
  5. Very good pictures! Where did you get that Zeplin? That's great for exploring scenery.
  6. I know...get a life!! I can't help it, flight simulation is my life 😍 Well, for me, I'll be flying the TFDi Boeing 717 when the new year comes. I love my NGXu, my FSL A319/320/321, my Aerosoft CRJ Pro and A330, my Majestic Q400 and my Madd❤g. They are all my babies, but the aircraft that I am fondest of is my 717. Other than the fact that TFDi did such a wonderfully awesome job developing it, I think it is because I wanted this aircraft type for so many years and now I have one that is outstanding beyond my expectations. Actually right now I'm practically living in P3Dv4.5 since I got my new computer, but I also like X-Plane 11 with the Zibo, ToLiss A320, FF A320, 757/767 a lot too. I'll probably get back to it later. Also I'm planning on having a lot of fun with MSFS, but I'm not expecting a perfect product when it is released. I believe it will go through some growing pains and frustrations before it is as rock solid as P3D or XP11. I'm also planning on installing DCS this month and trying it out. I've been watching some videos on it and it looks good. I purchased an Oculus Rift a couple of months ago, but it wouldn't work with my old computer. I haven't tried it yet, but I believe it will work good on this new computer. HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!! ✨🎶💕
  7. I calibrate my JetMax 737 through FSUIPC and it seems to work fine.
  8. Thank you Eric. Sounds good. I'll go and download it. They were supposed to email me when they updated the software. If they had, I wouldn't be bad-mouthing them. 🙂 Thank you, Bob
  9. I also use a JetMax B737TQ with FSUIPC5 and the PMDG NGXu. It works perfectly because the JetMax doesn't use any software. It is plug-and-play, so it doesn't know any difference. I also have the Flightdeck Solutions 737 CDU and the Virtual Avionics MCP/EFIS and cannot use either with the NGXu because the developers are dragging their feet updating the software that operates the units. Very frustrating... If Virtual Avionics doesn't get some compatible software soon, I may sell the units and buy CP Flight's versions. They already work with the NGXu. CP Flight MCP/EFIS My Flightdeck Solutions CDU partly works. The keys work, but the screen doesn't work at all.
  10. If you are willing to cross over to X-Plane 11, I believe that this A380 is pretty good: Airbus-A380-Collection-Package-XP11
  11. I definitely wouldn't buy it if I was you....luckily I'm not you. Over the years I've seen reviews by "experts" criticizing every major aircraft simulation, without exception, saying they don't "fly by the book". If I believed their diatribes my hanger would be empty and I'd be flying a bunch of default aircraft that really don't "fly by the book".
  12. Best wishes and warm hearts to all for a Merry Christmas and happy holidays, no matter how you celebrate. May these holidays make fond family memories for everyone.
  13. Why do I show an update available to "Current Version: V1.2a", but when I download it from my account, the version that I download is just v.1.1?
  14. You need to break the yoke for "Brain on Drugs". That fried egg makes me hungry for a Crackle Barrel breakfast.
  15. I am finding that these settings, going through FSUIPC as "Send to FS as normal axis" don't seem to work the same as default P3D. I set up my Aerosoft A330 and FSL A320 using this type of setting and my PFC throttles move backward. If I try to go into "Joystick Settings" and click on the reverse box, my throttles won't work at all because these aircraft don't seem to allow any processing by FSUIPC. I've had to actually shut off all axes settings in P3D and just use the throttle setting. Then enable joystick settings in P3D when flying that particular aircraft. I don't even have to select reverse in P3D. My throttles work in the right direction as long as they are not going through FSUIPC. I hate this because I always like setting my controllers through FSUIPC with Profiles for each aircraft, but it is the only way I can get some of these aircraft that were not considering users that strictly use FSUIPC for their axis. These developers that say "Our aircraft doesn't need FSUIPC to work..." ...well that's a bad thing, not a good thing. Bob
  16. It will only be $100 for those who want to buy it. Those who don't, it won't cost anything at all. I bought it when it first came out as a pre-release many moons ago. It has been a labor of love for Milviz. I'm glad it is finally ready for release.
  17. Welcome and glad you came out of the closet 😉 The NGXu is an outstanding simulation. I love it, but will love it more when some of the hardware makers catch up with their dad-gum interface software. I still can't use my Virtual Avionics MCP/EFIS or Flightdeck Solutions CDU with it. The buttons work on the CDU, but not the screen. 🤔 It will probably take them six months to get things working. Till then, if I want to use hardware I have to go back to the NGX. Anyway, you don't want to hear my problems. Have fun with your NGXu. 😃
  18. Glad everything worked out Stan. It does make updating a lot easier. More and more, developers are going to this and similar methods of updating. I'm so glad. It was getting very difficult to keep up with what had to be updated. Even XPlane 11 aircraft are updating with plugins that make it so sweet and easy. I really appreciate this.
  19. You update the addon manager using the FSDT Live Updater. It's the only way now. The updater is installed with the airports.
  20. I can feel the chill too, but more because it is snowing in Alabama now. Joking aside, the pictures are beautiful.
  21. You'll like the Cpt. Mike Ray books. Although necessary, FCOMs can be dry reading, but Cpt. Ray makes learning these procedures a lot of fun. He even writes several check ride manuals used by real pilots, to assist their preparation. These are great reading too and go very deep into the systems. ToLiss will be releasing a brand new A321 for X-Plane very soon. It is in late stage beta now. I'll grab that real quick when it is released. I like their A319 a lot. Blackbox is a real disappointment. Originally starting out as Phoenix Simulations, also known as "PSS", they used to put out some pretty good stuff for the time when FS9 and FSX was the choices. I thought that when they re-entered as Blackbox they would continue in the right direction after going tango-uniform, but that doesn't seem to be the case. It took a long time to get a really good A320 available, and a lot of gross disappointments and lost money on my part. I've purchased three "in development" aircraft, two A320s and one MD80 (for X-Plane) that all fell flat on their faces, but I was so hungry for an A320. Finally Flightsim Labs hit a golden home run with their A320, then Flight Factor and ToLiss came through with pure gold too. Now we're blessed to have a great choice of Airbus aircraft in FSX, P3Dv4 and X-Plane 11. I'm also looking forward to a great A340 cream-puff too, although I'm more of a short haul computer pilot. I like a lot of take offs and landings. That's why I keep getting addicted to Aerosoft's CRJ Professional and Majestic's Dash8 Q400, even though it's the PMDG NGX and "u" that I feel most at home with. I failed to mention that I also like XCraft's new EJets. They are a very good short-haul aircraft that are complex enough to be very enjoyable. The cockpit lighting seems pretty good on the high-end X-Plane aircraft simulations. I'm not sure if they are "dynamic" or not, but they look good and most likely are. X-Plane has come a long way in the last few years. Bob
  22. Here you go: FS2Crew Online Manuals Look under Flight Simulator Airline Crew Simulation, then all the way to the bottom.
  23. Hello Gabriel, Take a look at some of the books by Cpt. Mike Ray. He is a retired United Airlines pilot that flew 737s and 747s mostly. He has wrote a number of books that are outstanding with information and lots of fun to read. Here is a link: Captain Mike Ray's Website He has a lot of $1 articles that he wrote for magazines that he sells there also. Cpt. Mike Ray was my foundation into flying the Airbus and Boeing simulations and understanding the FMS/CDU or MCDU and basic procedures. I have all of his books. The Boeing 737NGX (now with a "u") is my bedrock aircraft I always come back to, but I love switching. Right now I'm hooked on the new CRJ Pro from Aerosoft, but I also love the TFDi Boeing 717, Maddog MD80, Dash8 Q400 by Majestic, PMDG Jetstream 41, PMDG MD11 (which PMDG is not activating), PMDG Boeing 747QOTSII, FSL A320, Flight Factor A320, ToLiss A319 and many more including GA aircraft. For me, switching aircraft is half the fun and keeps things interesting. I will watch a JustPlanes video, that puts me in the mood to fly that aircraft. I'm always learning. I just found out about what is called a "Delayed Flap Approach"....mmmm...now I'll have to try it. Because with aviation, you never stop learning, that applies also to flight simulation. There is always more to learn and always more skills to hone. You're young and may go on to become a commercial airline pilot, but if not, you'll still have a ton of fun with flight simulation. Best regards, Bob
