I'm disappointed I want my money back... Hahaha just kidding.. It does look like a photo, very nice. 🤣 -
All the way forward minus reheats or with reheats, I wouldn't think it would have the fuel for 3.5 hrs of reheats?

First off I will say I use REX skyforce for P3d and HIGHLY recommend it. I have always been amazed with there weather products. However Asobo has stated only limited weather options are opened up for developers, so I'm wondering if REX can work enough of there magic to make it worth this product at this time. Really the only complaint I have about the weather now is the popcorn cloud effect we see sometimes. Thoughts?

Thanks again Ray, I will verify my decent with your graph and see how it does. Did you make one for climb out/ascent too?

Now if we can get that SR-71 MILVIZ was showing awhile back we can see MACH 3+. Unfortunately even though it has already been shown working in P3d it is only going to be released in MSFS.

Ray I didn't mention this earlier but I let some fuel out to lighten the load and get to altitude quicker. It turns out I let out the perfect amount of fuel, luckily I didn't need to perform a go-around this time as it would have proven fatal. By the time I got to my gate in Los Angeles and the engines shut off I had precisely 859lbs of total fuel, maybe 2 min at idle. The definition of cutting it close I'd say.

So 25 miles off the coast is enough for Concorde's sonic boom? We have some F-15's that every morning at 9AM head out to the ocean and perform training missions, every few years we will here a sonic boom from one of the jets coming back in too quickly, we are about 60nm from the ocean here in Portland. Reheats were on basically from the start then off at about 2k feet. I'll try another flight soon. Last night I did the same flight with the Phenom300, I was only managing 460mph ground speed or Mach .79 so the flight took much longer. Really makes you appreciate the Concorde. It had both speed and beauty.

Yes this is a known issue that was supposed to have been fixed a few updates ago but no such luck so far.

LatinVFR Autumn sale - Up to 30% discount
TurboKen replied to 787flyer's topic in The Bargain Hunter's Shack
KMIA and LEMD are must haves in my opinion, they also include a city scape scenery which is nice. I also have LEBL and KMSY. I will be taking advantage of the sale and purchasing these for MSFS too. As I fly both P3D and MSFS sims. -
Thanks a lot for the info Ray. Your right totally different animal from subsonic aircraft. I was descending at 5k fpm and I think touchdown was about 185. This time I started my final much sooner and brought her in using every last inch of runway length. (if you have seen FIREFOX you will know what I'm talking about here).

So I picked up the DC Designs Concorde last night and decided to give it a go. I departed PDX with the intent to land at SFO, normally about 1 1/2 flight via 737. Once I got to 55,000' and Mach 2.03 I decided to just keep going as the terrain below was moving at an incredible rate of speed. Ray would have been err.. Proud until I started my decent way too late as I over shot my runway and had to perform a go around. Sadly my next attempt into LAX was not much better, too slow this time and well.... I crashed. Still It is a fun plane to fly and quite different then the normal tube liners or puddle jumpers I usually fly. I get some of the complaints about the graphics as inside and out they were just OK, I would like to see an update to improve things a little after they finish the MSFS version but who knows, we were probably lucky to have received it in P3d at all. It was fun watching all 4 afterburners lit up.😉

Aerosoft MSFS sale, incl. CRJ
TurboKen replied to longrangecruise's topic in The Bargain Hunter's Shack
I picked up the CRJ last night and took it for a short flight, very well done. Definitely worth picking up if you have not already. -
You could potentially just add a 500gb drive to save cost for now and leave everything else on your current drive then just move ORBX only stuff to your new drive. Very easy to add and configure. Like others have said non-ssd drives will have a slower loading time.

My 8 year old daughter just watched this for the first time, she loved it!

Great results with Nvidia Gsync on a Freesync monitor!!!
TurboKen replied to rob0203's topic in The Prepar3d Forum
I actually tried this the other day, my 38" does not have either free/g sync unfortunately but my brothers 34" has it, along with a faster refresh rate and HDR too. So I barrowed it for the weekend. MSFS is so smooth with my 3090 it wasn't a huge difference but for people still using Prepar3d WOW very nice the cars move very smooth not all jerky like before. My next monitor will have G-sync and HDR. -
Some night flying towards Bilbao LEBB

Very Nice Shots! -
Try again at lower settings. I'm sure the low amount of ram and Vram are causing the problems. The only way to fix with out spending money on the problem is to lower settings, turn off all shadows too. See if that helps.

Just a fast, simple comment regarding P3D v5.2HF1
TurboKen replied to Sesquashtoo's topic in The Prepar3d Forum
The other thing people have not mentioned is the huge load EA puts on you GPU. When enabled my 3090 goes into overdrive pulling nearly 400WATTS. So a reduction in power would also be nice. -
Sound Issue in P3D.
TurboKen replied to jt233's topic in System Hardware: PC | MOBO | RAM | CPU | HDD | SSD | PSU etc
HIt alt+enter to take it out of full screen then check to see if a dialog box is popping up in the back ground asking you to confirm the head phones you plugged in. Then click don't ask again if you have the option. -

I agree P3D5.2 along with ORBX is very smooth and looks amazing.
