  1. I have seen a few examples of EA looking good and I believe it has potential but for now this is why I fly with EA turned OFF and use REX for my weather, it looks far better then this.
  2. Well, I was half way there. Ok I went to my fleet in the config tool and added it. All good now they show up. Thanks! 🙂
  3. Steve this looks amazing... Quick question... I cannot figure out where to place the livery folder that I download of your re-paints? there is no mention of it in the readme file either. I know its something simple but??? As far as the 737 goes, I just did a quick flight and really like it. The sounds and visuals are amazing.
  4. Stay away from the cancer stuff, hope your doing better. Its probably already been requested but two of the most popular would be "Alaska Air" and "Southwest". If you get around to it. Thanks.
  5. Wow, this looks great! If I get some time I will probably pick this up this weekend and take it for a flight. Great job iFly/Flight1.
  6. I also just migrated from V4 to V5. Here is the scoop for Ultimate Traffic Live. They have a version UTL v2 with native v5 installers that is now included if you purchase UTL. It was sadly not finished so its not perfect. It was originally going to be sold, but due to the abrupt stop by the developer it's as in condition is what you get. Flight1 allows you to download the program as long as you purchased UTL. However there are 2 main issues I noticed... (1) the traffic will build very quickly and you will have a massive line of 20 aircraft waiting to takeoff. Think 5 o'clock rush hour. (2) Once you do fly to your next destination there will be zero aircraft until you toggle aircraft on\off. The other option is to use UTL in V5. which works fine once you get it to work. (this was my choice). However this is not as easy as selecting v5 during the install. I finally got it working by installing into V4 and then migrating the files to V5. A little bit of a hassle but it ultimately worked. There are in-depth threads about how to do this on Flight1's forum or Ultimate Traffic forum. From my understanding is Flight1 has requested purchasing the rights to UTL so they can improve upon the program to sell. As I don't think it would take much to make UTL v2 at least as good as UTL without the install headache. As add-on traffic for me is a must it would be nice to see this improved upon if only a little.
  7. I couldn't agree more. Absolutely love my 38" monitor. And yes it really does make a big difference, my wife has the 34". Honestly I wish they would make a 40-42" version w/HDR and G-sync.
  8. Yes luckily I work on state-of-the-art multi-million dollar electron microscopes at work, complete with 3 wide screen monitors but I can't very well install Prepar3d on these and start simming. LOL.
  9. LMAO.. Yes TroubleKen. Haha. Its funny how I barley touch my computer all summer due to outside projects around the house, camping, other hobbies. But as soon as the weather gets bad I come back to the computer after being away for 5 months and its your always on the computer??? I showed my wife a video the other day where I guy was setting up his flight by the book and it was nearly 30min before pushback and starting the engines. Then you have the multi-hour flight after that. My wife just didn't understand it. LOL.
  10. LMAO... Typical, I just bought it last week. I just installed it but I have not checked it out yet. Had to take a break form computer stuff or I was going to become single.
  11. I use both MSFS for some short scenic flights but still mostly fly Prepar3d. I recently upgraded to V5. I have UTL/GSX/REX/tons of aircraft, tons of scenery, tons of airports, and it all works seamlessly and a nice boost in performance from V4.
  12. You do NOT want to lock your FPS in P3D V4. use unlimited and adjust your scenery settings/shadows to gain the FPS you want. Lockheed made a change in V5 and you can lock frames but it has issues in V4. If you are set on locking frames use nvidia control panel to do so. Not in game.
  13. Hi Stan, My brother has the exact same setup, including the sonos sound bar and subwoofer. I too was over there watching football this weekend. So I can agree 100% it is an amazing experience. When we were done we loaded up MSFS on his new xbox and it looked amazing, very smooth and HDR visuals looked incredible. Looks like I'm going to have to save for a new TV.
  14. For V4 run unlimited and vsync in sim. Capping frames in sim will crush FPS, just try it you will see. Then go to the most demanding airport you have and adjust scenery to maintain 30FPS. then you will be happy no matter where you fly. When you upgrade to V5 you can run capped in sim.
  15. Great, Enjoy the build. I have a new one I should be starting soon, a co-worker said he wants an AMD processor and has 5k to spend. Were going to use his current video card until he can locate a newer one, but at least we can have the rest built and be using it until then.
  16. I have yet to ever crash my plane and not be spectacular...
  17. I spent a week trying to fix this same issue. The final fix was to go to steam. It just works, no issues at all. I wish I would have done it the first day after all the problems with microsoft.
  18. Yes they are great for flight sims, but also you are able to open 3 screens at once across the display. My screen is curved also and I highly recommend it! They typically start at 34" on up.
  19. I have not used traffic global since P3d V3, When I did it worked good. Currently I am using UTL from flight1 and it works great, very easy on FPS for what it adds. Highly recommend!
  20. Yes totally agree. I did my first flight last night and the lights around the airport were no-longer blobs as you perfectly described, they are now like they should be. And the night lighting once in the air was absolutely spot on. It looks amazing! And very very smooth. Not so much as a single hiccup. I don't know how they made it smoother. But it is. All ultra settings distance still at 200. (I have yet to try 400..Next flight...)
  21. I can confirm this also. TBM last night had the alarm until brake release.
  22. Do you mean Global Traffic add-on? Then I would imagine it would work. But I would highly recommend upgrading to a newer version of P3D. V5 comes with a nice boost in frame rate. And is much smoother than older versions.
  23. Yeah that's crazy, my neighbors 3 bedroom went for 550kUSD. But that's a bargain, in California there running about 1 million.
