    I typically drop from 60 down to 40 FPS at a major airport with heavy traffic with my 3090, which is double what you are getting, so yeah something is not right. Plus I am running a higher 3840x1600 resolution.

    I would agree, they have other things to upgrade. LOL. Unless they in the very near future were picking up a new monitor.

    i would love to see the QW787 in MSFS also but they only just updated the P3D version to SP4 last year, so I guess it might be several years before there is a MFS version.

    Looks like you did your research, should be a good build and a lot of fun. Does the monitor support freesync or g-sync and HDR, if not I would recommend one that does.

    Yep this is definitely Portland. Looks like the shot was taken half way between the airport and downtown. If it wasn't so close to the airport or so high up I would be able to take the same shot with my drone for comparison.

    Thats for a single monitor, any recent high end nvidia cards can run (3) 4k monitors at there full resolution.

    Did you start the flight and then go to work, and finish up the flight when you got home? 12 hours is a LONG flight.

    I'm sorry, since I don't have an AMD card I am not able to give you exact directions, and since I no-longer have 3 monitors I am not sure how to enable all 3 screens in game either. Maybe somebody will chime in and offer some support. 🙂 You might find a video to explain how to do this in detail...

    I don't use a triple monitor setup anymore but it should be straight forward, select all three monitors active in nvidia surround, assuming you are using an nvidia card, then in game select your resolution and try it out. Keep in mind unless you are using a 3090 you will have to dial back your settings so you don't run out of vram.

    As far as the GPU being the (loudest) weakest link you can use EVGA precision to limit card to 85-90% power level. This does a great job of keeping the fans from ramping too high at only a minimal hit to FPS.

    Buy a larger case if you have the space and add larger 140mm fans, adjust the speed in the bios so they are around 850rpm. Computer will be nice and quiet. See my computer specs below, its barley louder then a modern laptop.

    MANY people have had problems with the windows store/gaming service. I spent two weeks multiple accounts, reinstalls, emails, nothing worked. Finally I took some ones advice... Buy it through STEAM... Just buy it again through STEAM, and be done with it, it just works...

    If you select the P3D aircraft you want and add it to your cart it will then show discounted. 🙂

    I wouldn't worry about it. It will be fine. I do however replace mine every 3 years, just to be safe. I'm on my 4th now with zero leaks. However I do tell people if you are NOT overclocking do not bother with water, there is no need.

    I have (2) M.2 drives one for the OS and one for MSFS. I also have (4) SSD's. One for P3D, Drone videos, all other games, and a backup drive.

    Still hoping QW updates the community with there intent. BUT if they do indeed abandon the project this would make a lot of since for PMDG to pickup, or even iFly after they finish there MAX project.

    As someone who really enjoyed the QW787 I really hope they are working on the 787 for MSFS. To be honest I would also really like to see an update to the P3D version. Maybe an HD update with better visuals inside and out for P3D v5. Even if it was a paid option. Hopefully someone from the team posts an update soon as I was expecting to see it released by the end of the year... Now who knows...

    I cannot speak for MSFS as I no longer have a triple monitor setup to test, so with P3D when I moved from my single 27" to (3) 24" I dropped almost exactly 40% in FPS. But worth it for the wide view. I used that setup for five years until moving to a single 38" and happily have gained most of my framerate back.
