  1. Steve,Thanks for continuing the updates and development of IF, I hope your sales are as large as the effort you've put into this great program!
  2. The most recent version of Control Manager (CM) can be found here: http://www.chproducts.com/retail/tech_control_manager.htmlIf you have an old version of CM installed:1. Disconnect Yoke from PC2. Uninstall CM3. RebootAfter CM is uninstalled, or it was never installed:1. Connect Yoke to PC, wait for WIndows 7 to automatically install bum drivers2. Install CM using "Run as Administrator"3. RebootOnce CM is installed and you have rebooted:1. Download this guide and follow it for calibration instructions: http://www.ch-hangar.com/files/Docs/Dummies_Guide_III.pdfBest of luck!
  3. Windows 8, the new Vista! :Loser:But seriously, tablets will never replace desktops, just like laptops never replaced desktops in the mid 90's...
  4. I think that's the smoking gun then!Something quick to try would be to either delete or backup your fsx.cfg entry and let FSX rebuild it with your new hardware as well. But definitely start with a clean slate to ensure best performance.
  5. Just to verify, did you do a reinstall of Windows and FSX with the new hardware, or did you just swap hardware?
  6. I don't know of any specific downloads but here's a link to some great videos showing you how to help yourself: My EZdok Setup Videos
  7. The problem with this is that the radio gauges have hard wired 3D buttons.
  8. Love the Alaska and US Airways paints, thanks for your hard work Kerry!
  9. I agree with Sam, Windows 7 is the new Windows XP that will reign on desktops for years to come.Microsoft has already stated that Windows 8 is geared towards tablets and touch-screen PC's, hence the touch driven interface.
  10. That's terrible! Please consider the following:1) If you cannot afford a real alarm system, you can find alarm system signs and window/door stickers to buy via Google.2) If you cannot afford a real camera system, you can find fake cameras that look real via Google.3) A good guard dog, like a Doberman, Rottweiler, or German Sheperd (or anything that barks at every single noise it can hear).4) An automatic sentry turret armed with a gatling gun to take out the distgusting, wretched low-lives who feel entitled to your stuff... :(
  11. Thanks for the HU!After the disaster that is the C-27 waiting on opinions on this one... :(
  12. Have you tried the CH Throttle Quadrant?Great build quality, great response, reverser area on all 6 axes, 18 buttons total if you count the reverser buttons, and best of all cheap ($100) compared to the big money ones.
  13. Just a heads up, that in order to have the Aero tool you must have installed an FTX Airport with it included. If you already own one inside of AU, PNW or PFJ it won't be an issue but if someone only owned CRM, the Aero tool wouldn't be available to them.
  14. Check in the panel.cfg and make sure that the RXP 530 entry is for #1, i.e. gaugeXX=rxpGNS!GNS530, x,x,x,x instead of gaugeXX=rxpGNS!GNS530_2, x,x,x,xIf it is GNS530_2 then it is technically the secondary GNS, with the Carenado GNS probably set to the primary GNS.I do not have the Malibu, but in the C210 the Carenado GPS entry that makes it secondary to the RXP 530 is (I bolded the actual Gauge entry for identification):gauge00=CarenadoG430_3D_210!GNS430_nc2, 0,186,134,71Look in the panel.cfg entry and try and identify the Carenado GNS entry which is probably similar, if not identical, to the entry above. If it does not have the _nc2 appended to the end of it try adding it.You will also need to make sure that the RXP 530 entry is set to the primary GNS by making sure that it doesn't have a _2 following the gauge entry.
  15. That is the CRJ700 from FSX, and a mission from FSX.Low-down dirty thieves they are.
  16. Thanks for the response Rob.I'm assuming idm is Internet Download Manager?
  17. Has anyone downloaded P3D in the last few days?I am attempting to reinstall it after removing it and deleting the installation files. When attempting to download it repeatedly fails, and after failing-then-resuming multiple times for the same .zip file it is corrupt upon trying to extract it.If anyone has successfully downloaded and installed it in the last week, what program did you use to download it and what compression program did you use to unzip/extract it?
  18. If you have a minute, go back and read through the thread to see what the reaction was then.Pretty hilarious! You would need at least two dozen eggs to pass around to those who need some thrown in their face. :(
  19. It's the suit and tie of course... :wink:As for what DJ said, that is the absolute truth!
  20. Here's a handy comparison chart of the two processors side-by-side:http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/288?vs=203
  21. Thanks for the update John!Is it just me or has this devolved into another MSFS/ESP vs XP thread?5 years from now there will still be an MSFS/ESP vs XP debate... give it up folks.
  22. That's what I'm trying to say... it wasn't Aces fault, they were victims too. :(
  23. And a terrible darkness fell upon the face of the Aces team. And they spoke amongst themselves, saying "It is a crock of crap, and it stinks."They too, were victims in this sad tale...
  24. This works with any corporate decision, read in it's entirety for a good laugh. The Plan to develop and publish FlightIn the beginning was The Plan (Flight). And then came The Assumptions. And The Assumptions were without form. And The Plan was without substance. And a terrible darkness fell upon the face of the Aces team. And they spoke amongst themselves, saying "It is a crock of crap, and it stinks."And the Aces Team went unto their Supervisors and said loudly, "It is a bucket of dung, and we cannot live with the smell."Whereupon the Supervisors went unto their Managers and didst say, "It is a container of excrement, and it is very strong, such that none may abide by it."The Managers went quickly up into the upper-offices and seeing there the Directors of Microsoft Games, went unto them, saying in pious voices, "It is a vessel of fertiliser, and none may abide it's strength."After much feasting and lewd revellry, the Directors spoke amongst themselves, saying to one another, "It contains that which aids growth, and it is very strong."And together the Directors went up onto the mount, and finding there the Vice President, said gravely, "It promotes growth, and is very powerful."Seizing upon this information the Vice President went unto the President of Microsoft Games, saying, "This new Plan, Flight, will actively promote the growth and vigour of the company with very powerful effects."The President looked upon The Plan and saw that it was good. And The Plan became policy. And this is how Crap (like Flight) happens.Feel free to adapt to any corporate or beauracratic policy decisions... :(
