  1. jay thanks for your clues above. so far my thinking (after some trials) is that: the airac is only used to route sids & stars, not approaches approaches are sourced from all possible afcads, both stock & addons, whether duplicated or not. if you delete all approaches, you will be assigned a visual approach only to open landing runway/s (not to all runways that have an approach in a "normal" afcad) if you selectively add approaches you "want" (using fsad's airac support) to one's preferred (addon) afcad, then you will be initially assigned an instrument procedure to that open runway along with a visual as an option .... & that's all. so, my trials will continue but essentially i now have several afcads each with only an appropriate rnav to just one runway which i swap beforehand to suit the "likely" tailwinds on arrival. and to add, AI being controlled by the "classy" Vox traffic engine will also sequence correctly to that runway & not others. yes, but thought the above may help. 😃
  2. i wonder how you can even blend one's own aircraft into a slot with "just real world" traffic .... and mix with real weather diversions at current zulu. also just last evening about YSSY, there were 4 stacks each with 3 or 4 aircraft holding off route because of a passing storm front.
  3. there has been confusion over recent times as to how & whom to contact re purchases in the first instance & for follow up...... others may be more informed & able to better help but have you tried https://rcsimulations.co.uk/ who i "believe" have been an integral part of voxatc sales for many a year.
  4. draci perhaps a way to view / print an airport's comms/atis is to review the updated makerunways compiled runways.txt file. there is also the "comms".log files in vox's appdata to see / compare with the above. be interesting to hear your conclusions .... my pnf does what's assigned.
  5. Chris Have you tried P3D452's new feature ..........."Fixed issue where airport runway secondary landing attributes would be ignored and processed as primary landing attributes" It along with Vox742's traffic engine now allows one to close runways (say for east ops only at VHHH) and have / include for downwinds to both AI and yours ...... of course you need to study the TAF beforehand to decide whether east or west suits. Vox's arrival assignments are also more predictable despite its late read of weather.
  6. that's my recommendation ..... it's too complex fiddling with AIG activity levels (more so if randomly done .... you may never see an A380). fsuipc.ini has supplementary airfield / airborne categories to work with its UI "leveller".
  7. draci me too as best i can find the details on sectors borders & frequencies within an FIR (but mostly asian skies to date). i found a few glitches in those borders & frequencies of fsad's update of the stock bcvf, bgl file which i "correct" (decompile/edit xml/recompile) including in some instance the sectors name (eg hongkong radar) always thought vox indexer reads & uses this file & saw/see no use of the bglcenters.dat's. good to hear another is keen to use vox's "potential / classy" features ...... we just need to find which bush TW is hiding under (hopefully fit for a few fixes & upgrades)
  8. has (as do many addons) SODE jetways "directly" with autodocking as well as VDGS .... thus only UGCX needed for pushbacks (if you are not interested in the extra "hidden" features of GSX).
  9. HV an alternative you might consider is checking out local flying schools / colleges which do offer "courses" in all facets of flight training for all levels of licence ..... to pass the exams associated therewith (it's not all flying). basic vfr navigation courses will introduce you to the many aspects of planning etc. you will then be better equipped to find the data you need.
  10. it's quicker westbound into the "jetstreams" ......
  11. which sim with which vox version ....... seems okay on P3D452 / V742. others need to help if you are not using the above (& NETWORKED OR NOT)
  12. i thought it had 4 radials with a tricycle .........
  13. not me ...... just fixes to repair what does not perform in V7 as it did in V6, particularly in the arrival phase (weather / assignments) updates if there are to be any can wait. to your question on ARTCC's, there should not be a difference but might be if the indexer import is not complete / corrupt (but then again, i prefer vox on server, so just guessing).
  14. marcele *LIMITATIONS ON DEMO VERSION*→ User is limited to Rio de Janeiro area (SBGL, SBRJ, SBJR, SBSC, SBAF airports) & on the 737
  15. interesting you ask .... i'm not aware of any except for jay's mention of UUEE above. i suspect it is more about the community (AIG etc) adding the VDGS to match afcads such as yours which are more accurate / up to date than any developer's (they are as a majority more candy suckers anyway than ...) that said, i have started adding VDGS to VHHH, RJBB .....
  16. jay this is more than interesting ...... fantastic, more so with the PLACER tool. i know for sure i'll be using in lieu of GSX's guidance .... and with UGCX a possible given i've given up waiting for GSX2 to have AI docking.
  17. draci firstly, i support / agree with most you write about above ............ including your frustrations with lack of help from TW. i have had some success closing runways (at airports with paralells but no xwinds) to force a more likely & appropriate star / approach assignment, though i plan to further refine the airac to see if it improves / limits the options for voxatc to call. i suspect that because of the late read of weather voxatc is culling some approaches such as rnav ones beforehand even to the extent of listing the same approach twice in the list of 15 or so. my use of 6.52 was limited for a range of reasons at the time ...... maybe i will crank up fsx again just to refresh / enforce the obvious question (why break something if it works ?) as before, my setup is P3DV452 (which has a recently added feature to manage runway use), Vox742 with a mis-communicatiing PMDG777.
  18. charles pmdg's aircraft sounds are from folders in the simobjects and a main root folder as you wrote ...... have you identified a particular file for the missing (& is it seen in the relevant sound.cfg). as best i know, & whichever, it would not affect / be an issue with voxatc
  19. I cheered ...... & will also cheer when the Cahill Expressway over the Quay is removed (the top level road at least).
  20. & that "bloody monorail" on the pyrmont bridge is now in tasmania i think..............
  21. michael i was hoping to hear about atc addons in particular .... they seem to be a "tad" problematic with the "tier one" aircraft such as the pmdg 777, so thus my interest in how the FSL320 might or might not be compatible. one's investment in voxatc / p2a / and even patc far exceeds the cost of FSL ....
  22. i would like to hear how FSL's fits the many other addons we use ...... weather / remote cdu's / mce / atc / fsuipc (perhaps not needed in the case of the later). as much as the PMDG ngx has a great fit with most of these, the 777 has a "big conflict" with voxatc for example ... hence my question, it may be a great addon in its own but what about how it works with other addons.
  23. Jay Your mysteries" in hindsight seem different to mine ....... a lack of approach options apart from ils / visual ones. I'll push on to understand more if one can, but then as with yours, it may be isolated to few airports.
