  1. Hi Mark! Wonderfull to see you painting the 747 again, and taking the time to do FS9 versions. Your efforts are greatly appreciated. Hope all is well and looking forward to the new paints. Cheers, Randy
  2. They were there a few weeks ago Michael. I was looking at the QRH myself. They re-arrange their website from time to time. Give it a few days and I'll bet they show back up.
  3. That's the version I run Oliver. While it would certainly be nice to have it updated, I have no plans to retire it any time soon. Glad you're fixed up Hawk. Enjoy.
  4. Your welcome. It is an odd omission for a "professional" developer.
  5. Try this.. http://library.avsim.net/search.php?SearchTerm=flightbeam+ksfo&CatID=fs2004&Go=Search
  6. As Jeff mentioned, overheading your first filed fix is a big deal to default ATC. In my experience missing that first fix causes it to ignore you until you re-file, adjusting the flightplan accordingly. Oddly enough, it seems to be able to get over it if you blow a fix off later in the flight plan. It's just that first one that should be considered a Flyover waypoint.
  7. Best way I have found is by assigning key presses ( one for each) via FSUIPC to the joystick buttons. This was the method PMDG recommended and I have found it works well.
  8. For FS9. Go to your main FS folder. Find the "Aircraft" sub-folder, then the PMDG747-400F folder. Each paint is listed in the "aircraft.cfg" file and looks like this: [fltsim.15] title=PMDG-B747-400F Kalitta Air N782CK sim=B747-400F model=GEF panel= sound= texture=CKS_N782CK kb_checklists=PMDG747-400_CHECK atc_id_color=0xffffffff atc_id=N782CK atc_airline=CONNIE atc_flight_number=744 ui_manufacturer=Boeing-PMDG ui_type=747-400F GE-CF6 Engines ui_variation=Kalitta Air N782CK description=Boeing 747-400F with CF6-80C2B1F engines v 1.0\nPrecision Manuals Development Group\nwww.precisionmanuals.com \nFor use with BOEING 747 by PMDG \nFor Technical Support please visit www.precisionmanuals.com or email support@precisionmanuals.com \nPMDG Developer and Customer Forum available at our website. \nSounds Developed by PMDG\nFSUIPC Commercially Licensed from Pete Downson \nAll Artwork encoded using Digimark Technology \nThank you for supporting PMDG!\n visual_damage=1 atc_heavy=1 atc_id_font=Verdana,-11,1,600,0 parking=CARGO, RAMP, MIL_CARGO atc_parking_codes=CKS The bold area is your callsign. 9. Most of us who do it for a living aren't really getting paid for it either. So the simulation is complete...
  10. Nice paints Matt. Wish United would buy some -8i's.
  11. It looks very promising. I may finally be able to retire FS9.
  12. Don't miss this one folks. http://secure.simmarket.com/latinvfr-miami-international-airport-kmia-v2.phtml
  13. Systems and settings will vary. I get good results with those settings, you may not. There is still some pop-up of auto gen. I think that is unavoidable, although a newer video card ( GTX 600+) may help with that. May not. I set my auto gen to "Dense" and find it acceptable, even flying from the virtual cockpit with a greater field of vision. As Alexos said many add on airports have that issue to some degree. Gary @ UK2000 has talked about the technique in some of his post and stated there really is no good way around it. You could also try TERRAIN_EXTENDED_LEVELS=1 as I have read either number (1 or 4) is acceptable. Hope that helps some. Cheers,
  14. Try these. They work well for me running a 9800GT. TERRAIN_DEFAULT_RADIUS=9.500000 TERRAIN_EXTENDED_RADIUS=9.000000 TERRAIN_EXTENDED_LEVELS=4
  15. Was your last enroute waypoint a published transition for the GOLDN6 (current)?
  16. Have you changed any Inspector settings since the 770 upgrade? Have you enabled TXAA or FXAA? Also, try Bandwidth_Mult=400 & Terrain_Extended_Levels=4 or 1.
  17. Which nvidia drivers are you using? Using nvidia inspector?
  18. Are you familair with ADE Luis? http://www.airportdesigneditor.co.uk/ It is free and can correct airport altitude problems without damaging the scenery.
  19. Thanks Tom. A shame it's becoming a regular task for you. Charlottesville? I used to overnight there in my Comair days. Nice town.
  20. Philip, Have you tried to create your own situation file? The default ones may be corrupted. Load the 172, shut it down, then load the 747. Verify everything is off, then save your own file ( and name it something) via the FS9 "save flight" option. This will create an identical panel state in the PMDG menu, which can then be used to load the panel going forward. See if that works.
  21. Check your magnification: Control Panel> Display> smaller - 100% (default)
  22. :Applause: .....the great thing about Kyle is he says what most of us are thinking, but are too lazy to type. Bravo..
  23. That will be in the .air file. Search the library for "AirEd152". It's the freeware program for editing these files.
  24. Hi Mark, Sorry for the delay. Work has had me on the road alot. Sent you an email on the Southern/ANZ conversions. They look good. If Peter wants to help with more conversions that would be great. After all you have so many excellent paints that need to be converted for us FS9 holdouts. Thanks for all your work Mark. Cheers,
