  1. Well... is a business after all, they want what sells
  2. Noticed too this weird looking cities at high altitude at night, however what is so beatiful to me is this light reflection of the screens on the controls and all over the cockpit. Like paradise by the dashboard light.
  3. "the latest Microsoft Flight Simulator video game" it says hahaha! anyway really nice article.
  4. So this is adaptive to your current fps, there is no way to lock the 2d display refresh rate? I would like to lock it at 20 fps under any circumstance... (btw didn't tried the fix yet).
  5. Yet to test this lasso process... My case is nothing new but worked like a charm for me (you may ask: what you were doing?) simply turned ON hyper threading on bios and threaded optimization ON on Nvidia panel. BTW my specs are modest i7 7700 no K, 32 gb ram, GTX1080ti and 1 TB ssd M.2, never imagined the lock ups are gone, some micro stutters yet to resolve, using ultra in 1080p rendering scale at 100, no AI, no rolling and manual caches.
  6. Modest machine too: i7700 4.2 ghz, 32 gb ram, 1 tb ssd m.2, GTX 1080ti and 1080p monitor: at ultra settings great experience too, 7 hours to download the 97 gb, no problem running the first time, only a whole discovery to set up my incredible old but also incredible trusty Sidewinder Pro 2 FF that wasn't recognized and had to assign evrything from scratch. I agree in letting the things settle for a while however what is driving me nuts is the auto generation of new zones, why is this process so hard for the machine? almost a lock up. Is it the internet connection for downloading the new areas? I have just 40 mbps connection, once an area is set all the smoothness is back, btw my rolling cache is at 32 gb, any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks,
  7. SMP with latest ASXP is a great combo, however with this latest ASXP it seems that finally can depict lower layer default clouds better than before.
  8. Thats a possible colaboration of payware addons devs for making (or colaborating or advising) the default FS2020 planes (once again I don't have any proof of anything ,just speculating), remember who did the default 747 for XP10? I think was JRollon or TKyler or both? not saying that the 747 was a all great payware quality but considering the potential quantity of copies of FS2020 to be sold I don't see why not.
  9. Yes I don't believe default FS2020 planes will beat monsters like Toliss FF, you name it out of the box, I'm fine with convincing flight models, 3d model and systems, this is just a consumer sim after all.
  10. Dear Paraffin, You and @ryanbatcund can't comment on flight dynamics of default FS2020 planes becuase of the NDA, this (with no proof of nothing) leads me to believe that flight dynamics and systems could be well enough to try the new sim (the standard version for now, thanks for your report on upgrade), however as other mentioned not sure if those default FS2020 planes will beat XP11 payware planes (the high end ones), at least for now, too much to test try and see.
  11. Having similar doubts about that big fleet of planes, how they will behave? pro flight models? or just on rails feel? Anybody know if you buy the standard version, say for testing the program, could you upgrade for the premium deluxe later paying just the difference?
  12. Force 4k resolution in a 1080p monitor without any AA is far better than 1080p even with 8x AA.
  13. Hi Jaime, I'm puzzled by your comment regarding that the CPU is bottlenecking, could you please help me understand that logic referring your screenshots? I see in your second image that cpu time is 0.0314 and your gpu time is 0.0184, so, the lower number is the one bottlenecking? Thanks,
  14. Hi, not sure if all settings like the Toliss wonderful A319 but at least you can control and save sound settings separately for all planes using a lua script named "B2VolumeControl", look at the org.
  15. I dream with the 30 fps minimum with all the default clouds.
  16. Or perhaps like those wedding cakes you take at the end of the party you know, your portion wrapped in aluminum foil and store it in the fridge for some days and then is much better when you eat it. Let's give some days to the devs to iron those issues. I still don't have the v2 but I will once they update the plane.
  17. Saw that too, I'm just dreaming about the Connie with those lovely PBR reflections.
  18. I love the historical weather mode, for that reason I consider AXP essential plus the other great features.
  19. Yes 93 is kind of a fisheye view, it is a very subjective matter and depends entirely on observer, perhaps the 75 value is the most used, I'm happy with that value too and is more or less similar to what I was seeing and used to in my FSX days. Not sure if greater value may decrease frames because you're seeing more wider view.
  20. Good thread, just what I needed, so also wanted to ask how much benefit is to have Windows in one drive and X-Plane solely in another drive, I'm not running in SSD just yet, my drives are 1 TB for system where actually X-Plane is located and have a spare 1 TB empty drive where I'm planning to move my X-Plane folder, your opinions will be appreciated. Thanks,
  21. My favs: Citation II from Carenado Premier Jet from Carenado Eclipse 550 NG from Aerobask and something bigger the Embraer Legacy 650 from X-Crafts
  22. Also ActiveSky XP and latest SMP v4.8 not bad at all too, giving it a new try.
  23. And looks fantastic! in the org, any early adopters?
